I've been told the bulb is going out of my Phillips. How can you tell? Is it hard to change ?

My housemate is a mechanic with circuit board soldering experience. Please let me know what is involved in replacing the convergence IC's. If we are skilled enough, is it possible to avoid the repair costs? I appreciate your help!

It soundsa like you have a convergence problem. Probably only one color. (The green and red may be ok but the blue is bowed or any of those combinations) This will require the repklacement of convergence IC's and then alignment. Probably best to have a experienced tech take care of this.

the picture color problem is the coolant in the CRTs. You can get the coolant replacemnt Kit at the following link. The other problem with the Input through DVD sounds like the signal board. You can get the replacement board and the Phillips CRT coolant kit at the following link.
