Press the saftey reset button, if the light goes out it's safe to continue. Sometimes the saftey circuit triggers on noise.

Sounds like the torch tip is not tight.with a hypertherm you have to turn of the machine to reset .

My pro cut 55 Lincoln plasma cutter sounds like a machine gun when I strike it and put it to the metal. It cuts holes when you hold the trigger down and try and make a continous cut. new air dryer

(From: https://app.aws.org/forum/topic_show.pl?tid=31328)
"Remember, they are a drag machine up to about 3/8" thick material. Keep the power down as low as possible for the material being cut. Keep the right air filters on to supply clean air. Keep the air pressure between 60 (min or it will shut down) and 70 for most applications (more is not better-just like oxygen on the torch or air to an air-arc).

Also, check that the air hose hasn't come loose from the gun.

Carrier Performance Boost 80 has a status light flashing on the furnace, 3 times fast followed by 3 times slow. What does that mean?

this indicates fault 33, on inside of access panel will tell you faulty switch. i believe off top of my head is pressure switch open, this a safety switch to verify that inducer fan is working, several things besides a failed part can cuase this, there is a rubber hose going from the inducer fan houseing to the safety pressure switch, remove hose from fan housing and run a small stick ,wire or torch tip cleaner, down the acces port, calcium builds up inside the port and blocks the sampling of pressure, reassemble and try it, if this works add it to yearly maintenance could need new switch or inducer fan motor, these need to be replaced by a tech, also birds can block flue pipe

Shuts on on safety ,,almost immediatley

Check that the tip is assembled correctly. If is not in properly, it will not arc. Second, check air pressure switch. Sometimes they become stuck from corrosion due to moisture in the air. Test the operation with a tester

Start cutting and the safety light comes on

Usually it could be one of two things. The first thing to check for is to look at the contact and make sure it is not melted down and ensure its in good shape. The second thing that could do this, would be not enough air pressure. This air pressure is used to blow away the molten metal you are cutting.

When air is hooked up it blows the air regulator and all the air blows out valve very little gets to gun.red safety light comes on on front of machine and it will not work

Air pressure should be no more than 90#s. If regulator cannot handle at least 125#s . Get a new regulater. Sounds like this regulator has a blown diaphram.

Where are you?
Unless you are electrical and modern electronics inclined you may want to find someone with the right training and equipment to service.
Could be a bad power relay.
