Can't view file in Kingston 8GB Pendrive.

I just bought a Kingston 8GB Pendrive. My problem is when i saved a file in the pendrive then i remove the pendrive But when i insert it back, i can't view the file. I've checked, i save the file properly. I remove properly but it didn't save the file. I also format the pendrive. But the problem is still the same. Please help me.

Try this,
Format the drive using HP disc format tool after backing up the data.
Make sure you select FAT32 as file system.
You can download this tool from the following link,

Please let me know if the issue persists.

Kingston datatraveler 8G shows write protection error, contain a virus outorun.inf, cannot save, cannot be formated and cannot delete. Please help.

1. Open Notepad and do not write anything in it. Just go to File > Save as (save it with the name: autorun.inf)

2. Copy the autorun.inf file that you have created in the above step and paste in your "Pen Drives"

3. Remove your pen drive.

After removing the pendrive, re-insert in your PC. Now your anti-virus will not detect any virus in your PC. And Your pendrive is 100% safe to use.

When i am saving files on my pendrive everyting is going well..but as i remove in an re-enter the pendrive in the pc all the file that i saved previously is not there!!!!!

Can you check that the data is there from another PC, if it is then there is a file in options or similar that has hidden them. If not there then it could not have saved to the memory stick but somewhere else.

When i put my 8gb kingston pendrive in my usb (which is working properly as i tested other pendrives) it shows usb malfunction...i want to repair the pendrive or atleast recover the data, please help

Have you tried the pen drive in the other ports? Some times ports also will do malfunction. Kingston will do a very good customer service. To get your pendrive problem corrected and to get a brand new one for your pendrive, go to kingston service center and give your drive. Within one week they will replace you with a brand new drive as a replacement for your drive. But taking backup of the pendrive will not be done by them, That we have to do it manually!

Problems with pendrive data gets corrupted

Why not backup your remaining data from the pendrive. Then reformat your pendrive using full format. If it still behave like that , your pendrive is already giving up.
