Nothing comes on the screen when I turn my tv on...the power light is on, but nothing else. Polaroid indicates the set is fine after I sent it in but it still doesn't work after I got it back! Any Suggestions?
I had the same problem on my (model FLM-2601) polaroid month after purchased.
The power supply had to be replaced by a professional TV repair shop after I called polaroid 800#! Now a year later same problem. I will fix it my self, took apart PS need part# E051207979800011. Tony

Are you talking monitor rather than tv? I have an LG 22 inch monitor and the on off button is on the bottom, If I don't hit it right or just tap it, it won't turn off but flashes. Where do you have it plugged in? Is it with some other electronics, or right to the wall outlet? I'm really at a loss as to what your problem really is. Are you using the remote? One quick fix might be the battery's in the remote. If they don't have enough power, short or no signal will be sent to tv or not being able to decipher it.
The white screen and nothing else usually indicates a failure of the filter capacitors in the power supply board. When these capacitors go out the voltages are not correct so the TV can not power up right. You can rebuild the power board by replacing the bad capacitors and this should bring the TV back to life. A dead condition usually indicates one of the following: Open fuse (often internal, and usually pops due to other circuit defects). Short (overload condition) in the circuitry. Failure elsewhere in the circuitry. Most modern electronics have some logic circuitry, and if there is a section of the circuit not working, the logic circuit keeps the set from coming on at all.
First, if your power cord plugs into the set, check that it is properly connected. If you can get into the internals, find the fuse, check it, replace with an exact or near exact size.
If problems are beyond the simple, technical expertise will be required to nail down and fix the problem.
