Question about Frigidaire FEF336BC Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

F-30 code I have a frigidaire es340 gas range.Iam getting a f-30 code. From reading up i found out it could be the rtd sensor probe. The range is only 3 months old so we called the Lowes were we baught it from. They in turn put us in contact with a repair man.He came out and replaced the probe.Fired up the range, temp got to 350degrees no problems. He leaves. My wife comes home we fire it up to cook dinner and bam f-30.He left the old probe with us so i ohmed it out with my meter and it matches up with the number that the chart calls for it to be.Now the problem only seems to occur when you try to cook while the oven is still warm or hot. This oven by the way was still warm an hour after the service man left.I unplugged the the main harness from the EOC board and plugged it back in.and the problem had not reoccured. Is it possible that unplugging the harness from the main board reset something. And is it normal for this style of range to take so long to cool down?Thanksgiving is only 2 days away and my wife is freaking lol....

Hello mrteri1, CALL THE REPAIR MAN AND LOWES NOW!!! You need documentation of the first call AND of the NAME of who you spoke to for this second error. Now for wifes sake there is a good chance rebooting the EOC corrected the error for the time being. Correcting the problem requires a EOC replacement from what the DVM reading stated. I wish you a happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas.

I have a F1 code how do I fix it?

The "F1" fault code is indicating a shorted keypad, electronic oven control board failure or the oven sensor probe (RTD) may have gone bad. It will either have a bad oven sensor probe (RTD) or a failed Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board.

Our figidaire electronic stove/oven model PLES399ECD, serial number NF62311528, mfg'd 2/2006 has an error code for F30 when any program is selected. The manual does not list F30, what is F30?

Open (F30) or shorted (F31) RTD sensor
probe/ wiring problem. Note: EOC may
initially display an "F10", thinking a
runaway condition exists.

1- Press Cancel key.
2- Check wiring in probe circuit for possible short or open
condition. Check RTD resistance at room temperature
(compare to probe resistance chart). If resistance does not
match the chart, replace the RTD sensor probe. Let the oven
cool down and restart the function.
3- If the problem persists replace the relay board.
