Question about Frigidaire FEF336BC Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

F-30 code I have a frigidaire es340 gas range.Iam getting a f-30 code. From reading up i found out it could be the rtd sensor probe. The range is only 3 months old so we called the Lowes were we baught it from. They in turn put us in contact with a repair man.He came out and replaced the probe.Fired up the range, temp got to 350degrees no problems. He leaves. My wife comes home we fire it up to cook dinner and bam f-30.He left the old probe with us so i ohmed it out with my meter and it matches up with the number that the chart calls for it to be.Now the problem only seems to occur when you try to cook while the oven is still warm or hot. This oven by the way was still warm an hour after the service man left.I unplugged the the main harness from the EOC board and plugged it back in.and the problem had not reoccured. Is it possible that unplugging the harness from the main board reset something. And is it normal for this style of range to take so long to cool down?Thanksgiving is only 2 days away and my wife is freaking lol....

Hello mrteri1, CALL THE REPAIR MAN AND LOWES NOW!!! You need documentation of the first call AND of the NAME of who you spoke to for this second error. Now for wifes sake there is a good chance rebooting the EOC corrected the error for the time being. Correcting the problem requires a EOC replacement from what the DVM reading stated. I wish you a happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas.

I have a frigid are range and I first got a f 10 alarm that would not reset. It finally stopped after 5 min. When I tried to restart I get and f 30 alarm. How do I reset oven.

Thank you for your post, Doug!
I see that your Frigidaire range is displaying the error codes of "F10" and "F30". An "F10" error stands for runaway temperature (overheating). This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) or the EOC (Electronic Oven Control). An "F30" error code stands for an open probe connection this could be a problem with your RTD, EOC, or sensor probe. I would recommend performing a reset on your oven and you can do that by disconnecting from your oven for ten minutes. If this does not help resolve your issue I would suggest having a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

/lfgf3014lbcwhat does f31 mean

Hello Jim, thanks for your post!

From my understanding your Frigidaire range, LFGF3014LBC, is displaying an error code of "F31". The "F31" error code stands for a shorted probe connection which could be an issue with your EOC (Electronic Oven Control), wiring harness, or RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector). I would suggest performing a reset on your range to help clear out any false error codes. You can reset your range by flipping off the household circuit breaker for ten minutes. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

What does f31 error mean on fregidare gas range

Good Morning friend, thank you for your inquiry!

From what you have described your Frigidaire range is displaying an "F31" error code. An "F31" stands for a shorted probe connection. This could be an issue with your RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector), EOC (Electronic Oven Control), or wiring harness. I would recommend performing a reset on your range to help clear out any false error codes. In order to reset your range you need to disconnect power from it for roughly ten minutes. If this does not help resolve your issue and you continue to receive the error code you may need to have a professional out to perform a proper diagnosis and repair. This will help you avoid any unnecessary part purchases. -Matt

Shows f1

Hello mannycarla - Typically error code F1 indicates that the range has detected an issue with the runaway temperature (overheating). A certified technician will need to check the RTD senor probe and/or EOC and replace if necessary. Try reprogramming the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and restart range. Usually this will clear most false error codes. If it proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately.

I have a code F-30 and the oven won't work

F30 - Open probe connection

- Check resistance at room temperature & compare to RTD Sensor resistance chart.
- If resistance does not match the RTD chart replace RTD Sensor Probe.
- Check Sensor wiring harness between EOC & Sensor Probe connector.

Hope helps.

I have a F1 code how do I fix it?

The "F1" fault code is indicating a shorted keypad, electronic oven control board failure or the oven sensor probe (RTD) may have gone bad. It will either have a bad oven sensor probe (RTD) or a failed Electronic Oven Control (EOC) board.

Hi,

As per Manual, this Refers to Open Probe Connection.

Solutions Offered in Manual :-

Our figidaire electronic stove/oven model PLES399ECD, serial number NF62311528, mfg'd 2/2006 has an error code for F30 when any program is selected. The manual does not list F30, what is F30?

Open (F30) or shorted (F31) RTD sensor
probe/ wiring problem. Note: EOC may
initially display an "F10", thinking a
runaway condition exists.

1- Press Cancel key.
2- Check wiring in probe circuit for possible short or open
condition. Check RTD resistance at room temperature
(compare to probe resistance chart). If resistance does not
match the chart, replace the RTD sensor probe. Let the oven
cool down and restart the function.
3- If the problem persists replace the relay board.
