Is this triple trunking?

The PRO-94 is a Dual-Trunking scanner, meaning that it will receive both Motorola and GE/Ericsson EDACS systems.

Need the manual for the PRO-94? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

I'm not picking up any local police channels can I program some in? and where can I find the codes for Philadelphia?

Your PRO-82 is fairly simple to program, and you can find detailed instructions in the factory manual which you can download and print, at no cost, here:

http://support.radioshack.com/support_electronics/doc69/69887.pdf

FYI, though, many areas have upgraded to trunking systems for their law enforcement communications. If this is the case in your community, you will need to purchase a trunking scanner to listen in.

WHAT CHANNELS CAN YOU USE IF YOU HAVE A POLICE SCANNER 53218

Your PRO-96 has 10 banks of 50 channels, giving you access to 500 channels for conventional systems. It also has 11 banks of 500 channels, giving you access to 5500 users on trunked systems. Detailed instructions for programming the scanner are contained in the factory operating instructions, which you can download and print at no cost here:

How do I program it for triple truncking?

There is no such thing as "dual trunking" or "triple trunking." Such terms are used by manufacturers to indicate the number of trunking systems that a scanner is capable of monitoring. The PRO-95 is designated as a Dual Trunk-Tracking scanner because it is capable of monitoring both Motorola and EDACS systems. Programming a trunking system in to a scanner is a detailed process that requires a bit of research.

For details on active trunking systems in your area, and a lot of other useful scanning information, visit:

www.RadioReference.com

Once you have the system information you can follow the programming steps outlined in your scanner's operating instructions. If you don't already have the manual, you can download and print it here:

I have the usb cord what do i do now for radioshack pro 94

The PRO-94 does not support computer-controlled programming, so the USB cable won't work with it at all. For details on programming trunk systems via the scanner's keyboard, follow this link:

HOPKINSVILLE KY. POLICE DEPT. CHANGED TO A

Unfortuantly the pro-82 is not a trunked scanner, it's only a vhf/uhf scanner and cannot pickup trunked systems. You need to replace it with atleast a pro-95 to pick up trunked systems. If you need your manual for the pro-82 follow this link.
