Question about Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Router (tm23003)
My computer is setup with a wireless modem and broadband router. I cannot figure out how to secure my wireless connection. I can't find a WEP key number on the router. Can you please help?
My computer was setup by a comcast employee and honestly i don't know how it was done. My computer was running as slow as a turtle i finally got more memory and my computer and internet connection are working 1000 times better. I was instructed to secure my wireless network but i am not sure how. Thanks for your assistance
Depending on the brand of your router, open IE and type the default gateway to the address box. Get the default gateway by going to Start -> Run -> CMD. Then type: ipconfig. Look for Default Gateway. It should look like 192.168.xx.xx... Copy it to IE. It will ask you for your user/password. If you didn't change this, the default user/password should be found at the bottom of your router.. Ex: For Linksys: user: (blank) password: admin.. Once you're in, look for any wireless setup and look for security. The router should automatically assign you a WEP key.
