To replace element in westinghouse fan forced oven.do i need to remove oven from wall

Hello,

Usually the convection element is inside of the fan housing on the back wall of the oven. If it isn't there reply with exact model# and i'll look at the parts breakdown and see where it is on your model

My St George Grillmaster oven is not working, I suspect it is something to do with the automatic timer switch, could that be correct

It could be, but the oven would still work when it's NOT in timer mode. Does it work in broiler mode? Top element should get hot. Check the elements if you can. A visual inspection, for burned areas. If nothing there, could just be burned wire(s). Wiring/ elements need to be ohmed out.

Getting squeaking noise above oven section when turn on oven. I think it's exhaust blower above oven (not convection blower in rear) from kichenaid wall oven/micro combo KEMS377GBL0. Think part # is...

Looks like it may be the stirrer blade that is making that noise.
I think you are gonna have to take the oven down to get to that.
I have the manual and that pretty much makes it very easy to repair this oven. Here it is:

Error code "43"?????

Thanks Marty for the info on the sail switch. We experience the same error code 43 problem. Seemed like the sail switch was stuck in the back position and didn't come forward when the fan started. So I bent a metal coat hanger and used it to pull the switch foward to "unstick" it. I tested the oven turning it on and off a few times and made sure that the switch moves forward with the blower fan starting when the oven was on, and moved back when the oven was turned off. Should be obvious, but make sure the blower is not running and the oven is turned off before you stick the wire hanger back there. A pretty quick and easy thing to try before calling the repairman.

Cannot get oven to work

could have something to do with the auto timer or the stop knob. If you play with this you should be able to get the oven to go.

Hi, we have a St George wall oven that is making a loud rattling noise that starts when the oven is heated and then comtinues after the oven is turned off. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

there is a casing fan which is out of sight and that is what is making the noise. take oven out, remove top and fan will be revealed. may have to be replaced or possibly try a squirt of wd40

Whirlpool Wall Oven sometimes power fails in middle of a baking session. Display goes blank and oven will not work for 10-20 minutes. Then oven will come back on with a PF readout.

Could be several things; 1. Electrical connections in oven are loose. 2.The circuit breaker for the oven could be failing. 3. The electronic control is failing. Make sure when oven is operating, the cooling fan is operating. If the cooling fan is not working, the electronic control will overheat and shut down.
