The most common problem I have found with gas dryers is the heat sensor which shuts off the burner when it senses too much heat. Check the sensor with an ohm meter. If your not an electrician I suggest you contact a service person.

If there is no heat, you can conclude the heating element has failed or a controller has failed but your description does not identify the dryer brand and indicate whether it is electric or gas.

Have you checked the belt? That's generally the problem when a dryer stops spinning.

Whirlpool Imperial seventy dryer does not heat up

If there is a copper line feeding gas to it, PULL THE DRYER WAY FROM THE WALL AND TURN THE GAS OFF AT THE VALVE IMMEDIATELY!

Natural gas and copper do not mix, and the copper line will corrode from the inside out.

Now, on to the problem, it's very likely the timer has failed IF it does not rotate all the way through the drying cycle. If it does, and the clothes do not heat up, then reply back what you are experiencing and I will give you move help.

Gas dryer/ whirlpool

well your generating heat which is a good sign, either there is a blockage in your venting() most likely source of issue!) but you say ou replaced, i would then look to replacing the valve coils, 279834, about 20 bucks, easy to replace... its possible that they open the valve upon start up allowing heat, but after being on 20-30 min they overheat and no longer open not allowing heat to generate..
