You've managed to turn on "SAP" (second audio mode) which will cause the trouble. It doesn't affect all channels, as you're finding out, and can be frustrating. Mitsubishi remotes have a singe button for SAP, if I remember correctly, and you can press it and change modes without knowing it. (The button may be marked AUDIO or SAP.) Just press the button until the on-screen display tells you SAP is off. This will bring the sound back to normal.
This ranks up there with the mysterious black box that appears on some channels. This is because of closed-captioning being set to TEXT, and it happens the same way: pressing a button on the remote.
The SPA looks as if the box is just telling you that spanish audio is available. That would usually occur even if it isn't set to spanish, it is just showing it's available. Maybe try changing the audio channel? Ie. from TV to VCR back to TV etc. and make sure you don't set to SAP.
Lastly is ther an Atlanta Braves game on? Is it being simulcast on TBS and your local ABC channel? That may be the problem, it may be a problem with their telecast of the game. If this is the case, then call the cable company as it is a problem elsewhere.
Are you positive that your city has not done the Digital Conversion? Some Cities are doing it early before the February deadline. Also make sure you are tuning in to the correct channels. Meaning that if on your Cable Provider ABC was on Channel 3 that does not mean that ABC with still be on Channel 3 after you have your Cable turned off. Most of the Time the Local Stations Tag will let you know what channel its on. It will be something like "KWAS ABC 27" So on your TV you would Tune it to channel 27 to get ABC and the same fore NBC , FOX, CBS , etc... I hope this helps Take Care =)
