Question about Dell 924 All-in-One InkJet Printer

Wrong ink color Dell 924 printer

My two year old Dell all in one 924 printer has started printing in a rusty red print, when it should be black. This happens whether I am copying or printing a document. The color cartridge says empty, and I haven't replaced because I only need B&W. Have bought a new black cartridge, and it does the same thing, so it isn;'t the cartridge.

I am sick of Dell. They say my warranty is expired, got to pay for tech support now. This is my second machine of this type. The first one last about the same length of time.

    Yes, have done the cleaning routine already, and replaced the cartridge. Nothing changed, still getting this rusty red color, even while using Black cartridge, with black selected in advanced options.

    I asked a guy at the Staples store and he said it was a printer head problem, needed to be replaced but probably not cost effective on a printer of this price range. Does this sound right? I am fed up with Dell printers.

Run a nozzle clean, perform the following steps:

  1. Verify the All-In-One Printer 924 is powered on and connected to a computer.
  2. Verify that the paper support (input tray) has clean, plain white paper loaded.
  3. Press the Menu button.
  4. Press the Down button until Mode: Maintenance appears on the LCD screen.
  5. Press the Menu button.
    The Dell 924 Maintenance Menu appears on the LCD screen.
  6. Press the Down button until Clean Cartridges appears on the LCD screen.
  7. Press the Start button.
    The AIO 924 prints the cleaning page. This process cleans the ink cartridges and resolves many print quality issues.

My MX922 printer worked well this morning. All cartridges have ink but ALL lights under the cartridges are on and print comes out blank. There are no error codes or anything abnormal displayed


This problem is mainly happens to all inkjet printers. If your printer print blank pages then please at least once go to official site of Canon and check whether there is any printer/scanner drivers update is available or not. If yes then download it. Also check your ink cartridges. Because if there is no print on paper that means your ink might be dry.Sometimes it clog the print head. If your ink cartridges get dry change it. I replaced the K cartridge and i get this caution. I-Unit End Replace K


If "[Color name] Toner Empty. Replace with a new toner cartridge." is displayed and printing stops, replace with a new toner cartridge.
([Color name] indicates one of the following: C or Cyan, M or Magenta, Y or Yellow, K or Black.)

BROTHER P-TOUCH IS not printing


It is obvious it has a failed electronic component, since these are not repaired/exchanged except when they are under warranty best thing to do is just replace it.

My Epson WF-3640 is printing with gaps in the text. How do I fix this issue?


Make sure you should remove shipping tape from the ink cartridge. These taps are used to protect printer during shipping but you have to remove it before starting printing. Beacuse these taps prevent the ink to entering in print head. If you will not found shipping tape in your printer then there is terr off strip, remove it. The tear off strip seals the the vent holes on the top of the cartridge to prevent it from drying out on the shelf or during shipping.
After ensuring that the shipping tape has been removed, run the printer's "Head Cleaning" utility to prime the cartridge, then print a test page.

How to clean ink absorber for canon mp237


First of all open the ink cartridge of your printer.
When the ink cartridge would move all the way over, then disconnect the power cord of your printer.
Now pull the frame of rubber from the printer and remove ink pads.
To clean ink pads you may place them in a bowl having warm water and start rubbing and squeezing them to clean it from ink.
After removal of ink, keep the pads separate for dry.
When the pads get dry completely, place them back in rubber frame.
Reinstall the rubber frame in your printer.

Prinnter not printing but showing 'put custom in manual tray'


There is still a print job in the queue. Place a sheet so it prints or kill the job.


Open Printers and Faxes. Open printer. Highlight jobs and Right click > Cancel, or Documents > Cancel.
For those stubborn jobs, Right click My Computer > Manage. Choose Services and Applications > Services > Print Spooler. Right click and stop. Then start. This may have to be done from the Print Server if it's network printer. Contact IT to kill.

Laser printer makes light clicking noise when idle


When idle is potentially the fuser unit, after heating and cooling. However the print quality issue associated with the clicking sound could indicate an electrical issue. The HVPS maybe faulty causing the print quality issue (due to dependant parts) and the electrical click. In any case I would recommend calling Brother and finding the nearest authorised service agent.

Printer won't recognize cartridge


I had the same problem. I'm not sure but I think I replaced the cartridges when the printer was on because I turned the printer off and removed one of the cartridges. When I turned the printer back on it recognized that cartridge but not the others. I turned the printer off again, rmoved all cartiridges and put them back in when the printer was still off. When I turned the printer on again I had no problems. So...try turning off the printer, rmove all cartridges, then put them back in and restart printer. Hope this works for you .
