Question about Kitchen Ranges

Some air blows downwards from rangehood

My rangehood has 2 centrifugal fans with 700 cfm. It blows some air downward. When connected to the duck work, it blows more downward. What's wrong with the vent?

Fan is running in reverse, how do I change it to blow downward?

if it has a remote for it, there should be a reverse button on it. if not, get a step ladder out, and look around the fan for a switch. if you find one, switch it the opposite way.

I know I should reverse the direction of the ceiling fan for summer/winter. Which way is which?

you want the fan to turn anti clock ways in winter as this sucks the cold air upwards pushing the hot air from the roof downwards. and clock wise in summer blowing cool air downwards to cool you

take care

2003 trailblazer I have no heat or air coming out of my dash vents

Is it no heat/air when sitting still, or no heat air period? If the heat and air blow slightly when driving you have a bad blower mower/resisitor and its not allowing the air to blow into the cab. If not blowing period when moving probably bad heater controls or fuse... Worst case scanario is you have an electrical problem that needs to be diagnosed

It seems it's collecting water in the tray and blowing it out through the top vent, dripping from the bottom inside the house and is making a sound constantly like the fan is hitting water as it blows.

AC units do take the humidity out of the air and water collects in the bottom. The unit should be tilted slightly downward on the outside so that the water runs outrside. Make sure the drain holes are clear. The pinging noise is common, the fan is hitting drops of water, nothing to be concerned about

Had a ceiling fan with dual purpose, one to blow air upwards durng the cooler months and one downwards during warmer mos. unable to set the fan to blow air downwards.

Explain set it. Generally there is a switch on the fan to reverse, are you attempting reversing by that switch or a wired in wall switch? If it runs in one direction it will run in the other. Something in the control is broken or not wired correctly.

Fan not blowing air.

theres a small toggle switch on the fan

that switch is to change direction on the way the fan is blowing

one direction for downward blowing

the other direction is for upward blowing

depends on the area you have to determine which is the best, but i doubt area restriction will hamper force air blowing, air will flow regardless, the area might be big so you dont feel it.

as being living in the attic, HOT AIR rises, so you might want to invest in some installation for the ceiling, because whent he sun hit the roof, it will create an oven effect, in your living area. the hot air is always present, you should have a ventilation fan blowing the hot air out, like thru a small window, the more hot air you blow out, the better.

not sure if this make sense. not sure how big the room is, as FANs are NOISY by nature.
