KV-9PT50 was dropped a couple feet wouldnt come on. I removed the case and saw that the small circut board that plugs into the back of the picture tube had come loose. I reset the board holding the edges of the board and turned on the set and it worked fine. Then in a fit of stupidity as i was closing the case i decided to make sure the board was seated and placed my hand flat on the circut board, heard a little pop , and it of course wouldnt come on again .Im guessing i found a capacitor and fried something on the littte board . I dont know what the board is called or its part number or if it is available , set was built in 96 . Any help would be appreciated

hi. if any of the little copper bits are tutching the fat bit of copper in the middle of the arial that go into the back of the tv you wont get a picture and you might not have the right conecting bit from the arial to the tv as you get male and female ones. or you mite need to retune your t.v as evrything has gone digital and if something has interupted it. it will need retuneing and will need a satalite or a channel 5 arial. hope it helps thanks sean

maybe you problem is in the circuit board of the tv.loose solder joints.you need a technician to fix the trouble.do not do it yourself,if you have no knowledge in electronics circuitry.lethal voltage is present inside the unit.
its either you have a problem in the horizontal output, most probably flyback transformer or horizontal output transistor or ther is a defective component in hori. section.do not do it yourself.lehtal voltages present.contact qualified technician.
if your television is an older model probably the switch is defective.need to be replace,if its a newer model then the trouble must be in the power supply section.contact a tv technician tto check the trouble.

The long and short of it - with the swivel attached to the cabinet still, pull down from the back of the tv and toward you. W had the base off the cabinet so I put the whole thing on the floor, put my feet on the back of the swivel, pulled the tv up and away from me. It took a bit but it finally broke free.
