What are the tyre pressure's for a 1999 R1

Hi, a 1999-2003 suzuki burgman /an 400 using standard tyre sizes 110/90-13 front is 1'75 bar (25psi)
130/70-13 rear is. 2 bar-(29psi) and 2.8 bar (41psi when carrying a passenger) check the tyre for correct seating on the rim, dont think you have done any harm, the only danger inflating small tyres to a high pressure is you risk blowing it off the rim, as you have now corrected it you should be ok with that, paul

Cars usually have a tyre information sticker either on the pillar for the drivers door or on the glove box lid. However if not readable, I would suggest running 30 - 32 pounds in the front tyres and 26 - 28 in the rear.

Owners Manual says

Front tyre 36 psi
Rear tyre 42 psi

hi,general rule of thumb is 32psi front,34-36 psi rear(cold),dont run them to hard as when the tyre heats up you can pick up 5-6 psi between cold and hot,tyre manufacturers love people who run their tyres to hard as all it does is wear out the centres of the tyres and you will end up with bald centres and unused edges...

the bonnet release is either in the passenger side footwell near the kick panel ot in the same place on the drivers side
as for the tyre pressures they should 2.4 bar (35psi) all round it should tell you this in the drivers side door jam

A couple of things... are the tyres matched? You said you have changed the rear and the front is worn - this will definitely have an effect on handling, as will tyre pressures. The correct sizes for your tyres are: Front 120/70 ZR-17, Rear 180/55 ZR-17
You should ALWAYS use matched tyres - even differences between models in the same brand will be different and you shouldn't mix and match unless you are an expert - and I mean a real expert - pro racer or similar.
Tyre pressures for your bike are : 36psi front and rear. Unless your tyre manufacturer says different, use that figure. Unless all those things are right, you can't begin to diagnose handling issues.

35 psi is the assigned "maximum load" pressure for standard load tires and 41 psi is the assigned "maximum load" pressure for extra load tires.

see tyre factory specs, but normally 34 psi
