Insignia(samsung) 50" plasma Vertical red lines

Hello I am here because I bought a insignia 50" plasma about 5 months ago and have no warranty on it.I bought it as is from best buy and now it doesn't work correctly. The screen appears to have two red vertical lines about 1 1/2" going all the way down the left hand side of the screen. The TV image behind the red lines is fine. You can see the whole picture no problem. I assume maybe the tv can be reset somehow. If any one can help me please let me know.Is there anyway to have the manufacturer fix this?Well,I'll be waiting for some responses.Hopefully someone out there can help.

I would take it back. I know from purchasing an Insignia LCD from them a while back, the TV just died after about 4 or 5 months. They ended up offering me another TV or with store credit. I took the store credit and chose another TV. I also did not have a warranty. I was told since it was Insignia (which is a Best Buy house brand) that replacing it was not a problem. Good luck.

I have a 50" plasma insignia and it has colorful vertical lines down the middle.

Lines can be caused by a number or things: bad main board (control) which is rare, bad or loose plugs or solder connections.

The worst case is the issue (connections etc) can also be inside the display panel (PDP or plasma display panel) where they cannot be got at.

Parts for brand listed are not real easy to find in some cases.

We just bought a NS-PDP50HD-09 Insignia 50" plasma

Although we would not be able to assist you with power issue you're having with your TV, I can assure you that the issue with your new HD Insignia TV not turning on has nothing to do with the DISH Network receiver you have connected to it.

NS-PDP50HD-09 Insignia 50" plasma HDTV I bought it from Best Buy about 2 years ago. About a month ago, it started turning off by itself, and now no picture or sound comes on altogether. The power light...

Since the power light is on the standby circuit is working fine and it is cutting up on powering the circuits, so either it could be a safety trigger or a failer. you will need to cross check by omission flow charting to find out if it is the Main power or the drive power.Check for dry joints or loose connection by tapping the main board to see any reaction to start up. good luck
