Question about Samsung ML2251N Laser Printer

1 Answer

Paper jamed or wrinkled

Thanks in advance for your help

I have in service a Samsung laser LM 2251N Laser printer. The printer wrinkle the paper if the paper is new, but if the peper is used (warm) the printer prints ok.

The wrinkle is in the both sides of the top corner of the paper. this little wrinkle is enough to jam the paper in the narrow paper path.

The fusor assy, springs, rubber rollers, and everything seems to be ok,

I thing the temperature in the fusor is too high. To reduce it, I have installed a variable 200K resistor in parallel whit the temp. sensor, and the printer appears work much better. (the paper wrinkle seldom occur). but it occur.

I havent the service manual and i want some help with this issue.

Your paper feeder is only working on one side causing the paper to try to go sideways. This will wrinkle the paper just like it is fed in crooked.

Paper is getting wrinkled as it comes through the printer

If the wrinkles are small and appear to be pressed into the paper, then the problem is most likely with the fuser assembly. Check it for roller damage or other problems and replace.

Wrinkling Laser Paper

Sounds like something is either wrong with the rollers, something is stuck in there or you are using the wrong type of paper.

I suggest you take a peek inside there and see if there is anything noticeably wrong inside. If not then look up what type of paper it needs.

My Dell 1100 keeps wrinkling and tearing the paper

Depending on wear the tear is at determines the issue. The wrinkling paper and the look of your printer sounds like some sort of fuser issue. Recycled paper is more likely to wrinkle and the grain can cause paper to wrinkle as well. The Long grain paper is up and down the sheet and short gain is side to side on a sheet of paper. If your printer is on a long grain setting and you have the pages coming out sides ways or vice versa then your print outs can wrinkle.

Wrinkled paper

Try checking the fuser unit inside the back of the printer. Open the door and pull the paper path tray down. You should see an orange vinyl looking roller. If is has wrinkles it probably needs replacing. I have replaced two on my printers and that corrected the wrinkling problem. You can get them on ebay.

Phaser 7700GX Color Printer prints wrinkled pages!

when this occurs the problem is most of the time with the transport roller, fuser / fixing assembly roller.question is the image still toner only and not fused to the paper.
In these areas there is offen a jammed and not removed piece of paper dislodged in the paper path or jammed in the fuser or the transfer rollers teflon coating has perished inspect the areas carefully and remove any found if the unit still is faulty (fanning of paper the fuser would be the first to be replaced are past there usable life) if so then Post a reply
