Question about Samsung HLN437W 43" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

No sound, just clicking noise

Today the sound went out. Now we just hear a steady clicking. Changing Volume settings doesn't change the noise level of the clicking. I tried rebooting the cable, no help. Audio settings appear unchanged. Thoughts?

I have a volume problem. When I adjust the volume at a listening level, a high pitch sound can be heard then the volume turns low and goes back to the set level. It happens in every channel (Direct TV)....

No ,replacing speakers will not fix the problem these sets are very well know for Poor Solder and connection ,resolder signal,Audio,& power supply boards this should correct the problem and alot of future ones too.

The sound of my tv is in background, I can't hear ear it correctly even if the volume is high. I went in the options to put the speakers on, it's on. The cyclone is on aswell. Except the audio...

Turn off all automatic settings in the audio menu as well as any surround settings. Surround settings and auto level settings often cause this.

The volume goes down ,then it cycles automatically through channels

sounds like your volume down on set is stuck in down postion... press it to see... listen for faint clicking noise that means its ok... and your problem could be remote button stuck... any button on set or last Microprocessor went bad.

Clicking noise in speakers

Periodicaly I would have a clicking sound coming from my lcd about every ten- thirty seconds. I wondered why the sound go and return for weeks days or months at a time. well, the common denomenator was my offspring not using the remote to adjust the sound, so the cable box had one sound level and the tv was set at another level-- Hence the clicking. When we sequenized the volume, all clicking left for good.

hope this works for you!!!!

Powers on, audio works, no video at all

First, need to narrow down the problem. Did you perhaps change the input source? To this point, change the input source, there should be text on screen that indicates what source is selected.....do you see this? Change the volume....do you see the volume level bar on the screen?
