Question about Dacor Preference SGM466 Gas Cooktop
After a power outage, when the power came back on, the unit was humming on and off. The buttons on top of the unit started lighting up randomly as if the computer was doing some sort of internal check. All the buttons were lit at once at one point. Now, only the filter clean and the timed stop buttons are lit. Pushing any botton has no affect. The fan is remotely mounted at the exterior of the house. The entire unit is dead. What do you suggest?

Ours started doing the same thing. I got it to start working again by gently holding down the up/down button until it started to move. After doing this a few times it started working normally again. Also the keypad can be locked and unlocked by pressing the low and high buttons together for 1 second.

Tips for a great answer:

You may try and reset the induction cook top by disconnecting the power to the unit for up to 30 seconds. This will clear most false error codes. You can disconnect power by flipping the circuit breaker off and back on. If the error code does not clear, then the unit more than likely can be experiencing an issue with the EOC and user interface board. This is not a typical do it yourself job; please consult a professional or your manufacturer.
