Question about Audio Players & Recorders

1 Answer

I work at my church and need help with connecting an audio feed from the sanctuary to the fellowship hall where tvs are located. I am running a 1/4" cable out of the soundboard and into a female 1/4" audio cable (red, white, black, and green wires). From there the cable goes about 50 ft to a S-Video/RCA Audio 1 in 4 Amp and splits off to each tv. My problem is there is a major buzzing that overpowers the audio for the services. The female 1/4" has the red wire soldered to the connector and the black and green soldered as a ground. I found a splice that only had the black connected to the black and the white connected to the white. And for the RCA connector I have the red soldered to the red connector with white as ground and the black soldered to the black connector with green as ground. Can you help me stop the buzzing noise and bring clear sound to the tvs?

SOURCE: Getting clear audio to televisions from a soundboard

I think you should buy a video sender. It will take audio from your audio console and send wireless to a free channel to any free TV channel. No cables!

Here's one on ebay:

What is the meaning of symbols in the logo of st.john hill academy

The Meaning Logo i believe is:

logo1.gifThe clover or leaf-like ornament with four lobes found in the logo is called a Quatrefoil. It is found throughout the architecture of our building. It is most prominent in stone work above the main entrance. You will see it at the top of the Gethsemane window. This shape has sometimes been interpreted to represent the four Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

The shadow effect around the Quatrefoil represents diversity and growth, which are a part of our mission.

The four diamond shapes, also a Quatrefoil, represent the four traditions that came together in 1957 to form our denomination, the United Church of Christ. Those traditions are: Christian, Congregational, Evangelical, and Reformed. St. John Church was originally part of the Evangelical tradition. The uneven or jagged edges represent movement, calling us to always move forward with the spiritual, compassionate, nurturing, worshiping, learning, and fellowship focus of our mission.

Hope this helps. from fixya

We have a Panasonic PT-D5600U DLP Projector, and the rear infrared sensor is not working. The front sensor works fine, but the projector is ceiling mounted, and we need to utilize the back sensor from the...

Hello: in most cases, front and back sensors are identical. Might even be those little boards, as well.
I've seen repeated problem with sensor board circuitry, not a IR sensor, itself. in my 2 cases, there was a faulty sms ceramic capacitor, twice at the same make and model of Phillips TVs. If you can handle safely open and close top part of projector's cabinet, you will see those 2 small pc boards, connected to control panel. To get a part#, go to "panasonic.com", then look for "support", then 'parts ordering". enter your model# and you'll find whole list of the parts for your set. You don't need any authorization to buy 2 little assemblies. Get 2! The other one will quit sooner or later! shouldn't cost too much, anyway.
Good luck,
Thanks,
Alex.

Cd vs. microphone

A few possibilites.

1. Even though you have some kind of peak limiting on your mics, the signal might still be peaking somewhere along the audio path and causing distortion. Gain controls might be set too high somewhere along the way.

2. The amp you are using might simply be driving too much power for the speakers to handle.

3. A faulty connection, connector, wire or input could cause distortion of something like distortion which is of course would be more apparent at higher volumes.

4. Equipment placement could be picking up sounds or interference from other sources.

5. If you are able to discern level peaks but they are occasional and not flat out, then a compressor placed in the mic signal path could certainly help - otherwise see # 1 above.

Best of luck in solving this.

Cheers.
