You didn't mention the make and model of the guitar amp, so I'll leave a link for several amps:

Hi having trouble when i plug guitar or mic into the neo. when i raise the trim to hear the input, the re is a big buzzing sound that just wont go away... any ideas?

Do you have any light dimmer in the house?
Are you using humbucking guitar pickup?
Do the the buzz change when the move the guitar around, it may be picking up radiate magnetic field from the transformers of the equipment.
The preamp is very sensitive with very high gain circuits that amplify signals in the millivolt range, so godd shielding and grounding is needed.

The Encore 4050A is a guitar amplifier. It's going thorugh batteries verty fast and, although it has a 12V power input, I don't have the power adaptor for it. Have searched a lot but can find no...

It will be best to have a good 12volt/5 amps adapter that will suit your amplifier. There are many model with SMPS units. This will give a clean supply and all you need will be to make the connections with the correct polarity.
Double check when you connect as a wrong polarity can damage the amplifier.

I have a "peavey ultra 410" guitar amplifier. it has been sitting in the garage for several years, and there is no power when plugged in. The amplifier is all tube (preamp and amp). My question is this; if...

Even though I don't have a schematic, if you have a VOM, (Volt-Ohm, Milli-Ammeter) we can start. Just because tubes are old doesn't mean they are used up. If a tube doesn't light up that would be a bad one, but they are in parallel off a winding of the power transformer. 1.) Check the on/off switch with the ohmmeter and the line cord for conductivity. 2.) Check the primary winding of the transformer for a low ohms reading. (less than ten ohms). 3.) Some where between the power switch and the pwr. trans. should be a fuse. After these three you should be able to put 120vac. to the unit and bring it back on. Get back with us, Dale

Guitar amplifier cracks when turning off

So when you hit the power switch to turn it off you get a crackling sound? This is fairly common with many guitar amps as they don't have a relay which cuts the speaker output when the switch is turned off. What you are hearing is the capacitors draining down. If all else works ok with the amp then there's nothing to worry about.

MY FENDER GUITAR AMPLIFIER IS MAKING A HUMMING BUZZING NOISE

Not sure yet, but before considering a fault with the amp, does it only make this humming noise when not plugged into the guitar? I am thinking that the cable might be faulty.

If it while the cable is plugged in the guitar, does the humming disappear when you turn the volume control(s) down on the guitar? I am thinking that one or pickups may be faulty.

Sansui s-x 700 no fm reception only noise

i have a sx700 sansui receiver, that the receiver is working fine.
My problem is on the amplifier section
Do you have a schematic diagram ?
Beeing an old amateur radio technician, that is, working with sophisticated receivers don´t see any problem to help you.
It is my oopinion however that unless I can have a copy of the complete schematic diagram it will be impossibleto start giving you ideas
Can you provide me a coopy of the schematic diagram
And tell me if the amplifier section is working fine and also (very important) if other frequencies, excluding fm are working.
Thank you inadvance,

A HUMMING Peavey Classic 30

I repaired a classic 50 recently and the problem was a bad solder connection on the main input jack. You may also want to have the tubes tested.

If the unit is over 20+ years have it recapped.

I do this stuff but Vermont might be to far.
