Paper Jam. How do I take this printer apart to remove the paper? Lexmark S305 IMPACT LEXS AllInOne InkJet Printer

Leading cause of paper jams is debris / foreign objects that accidentally fell into the paper feed area. Please try this approach to fix the problem:

  1. Remove the sheets of paper from the feeder.
  2. Grab a flashlight and look inside the feeder for any debris or foreign objects.
  3. If you're willing and physically able, you may also carefully turn the printer over. Any debris should just freely roll out from the feeder.
  4. If feeder is clear, place the printer on the table. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges.
  5. Check the cartridge area for any obstructions in the paper path.
  6. Close the printer cover.
  7. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply - the black box where the power cord is plugged into. Re-plug after 30 seconds.
  8. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges and load some paper. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.
If you're still experiencing this problem today, please contact Lexmark Technical Support Center so they can rectify this problem right away.

Using Lex. 4'x6" paper, my 901 is not

To properly lay the 4 X 6 in paper in the tray, please follow the steps below:
  • Pull tray completely out of the printer.
  • Move the paper guides to the sides of tray.

  • Insert the tray.
Make sure the correct print setting is configured before printing your file. With your file open, click File > Print > Properties > From the Paper Size list of the Print Setup tab, select 4 X 6 in. Click OK to save the setting. Click OK again to print your file.

Paper jam, but no jam + paper feed problem

check to make sure there aren't little pieces of paper jammed at the ends of the roller. if you can pop out the roller easily you may find tiny pieces of paper still lodged in there

Two separate problems: Paper loads crooked and then jams printer. Unrelated issue is "no paper loaded" error message even when paper is loaded...Help!

You might had a bit of paper stuck in there. Look real close where the rollers are and see if there is maybe a address label or piece of paper in the path of the paper.

My Dell AIO Photo 926 Printer feeds the paper crooked and jams then says to load paper even though there is paper in it. How do I fix this problem?

Try cleaning the paper feed rollers with a cloth dampened with alcohol. Also check for a piece of paper that may be stuck at the place where the paper goes crooked.

Paper jam

I have also had paper jams with the lex x1240, I rectified this as best as I could by using a q-tip dip in rubbing Alchohol, and clean both sets of rollers good and be vey careful when loading paper. Also try one sheet at a time if you have not already, if it doesn't do it with 1 or 2 sheets in the tray, try loading less paper, or load until the problem re-occours and you may only be able to load 25 pages in autofeed instead of 50. I know that if it does work that way you may want to pursue any warrantie actions you have, But You are definately not the first to experience this. I am sorry you are having problems I hope this can help, It's usually just to much paper loaded that cause this or dirty rollers.

E3 paper jam

if the paper is crooked it will come out wrinkled. If not the print is crooked indicating a different problem.
You wil have to look at the paper as it is printing, to see where it is catching, paper ramp maybe ( before the fuser entrance), exit rollers? ( only place I know there are bristles)

E3 is : paper jam in fuser

also check fingers or claws on fuser they catch the paper if worn.

Paper size is incorrectly set!.....

Merlin's idea, of what paper Lex has, and Lex's are different or you have loaded Lex's tray with the paper sideways

Your in Oz so it would be A4 standard and I guess your trying to print B5 script. Try these

The printer has been loaded with one size paper but thinks it is another. change printer settings via keypad on printer

The B5 scripts paper is being loaded sideways instead of length ways or visa verse

There is a incorrect setting in the printer driver that is set up for this specific printer that 'merlin' uses, check print driver setting (control panel, printers and fax, right click on lexmarkt642's icon, properties and check properties fully) in windows software that is running under merlin, also check merlin settings if any for this printer

Lexmark 5400 series paper jam

As several previous posts said there was a pieces of paper folded up inside. Per a previous post remove the sheet feeder rack. At this point I removed the two outside screws (of the three) on the backe. After this the whole top lifts about 3/4 inch (19mm) to give your fingers more room to clear it. Looks like she will print another day.

Thanks for the tips on here.
