Question about Toshiba Satellite A105 Notebook
My sisters boyfriends pc did the same thing what it was is that the harddrive went up. needless to say its my pc now because they couldent figure it out i got a harddrive out of another one and works great. get your self a lenux disc thats able to run off disk and take out the harddrive and turn on it might help but there could be a list of problems you can take it in to best buy have geek squad look at it and tell you what it is with out them fixing it and it shouldent coast any thing.. as for a linux disk download deep burner and surch linux ubuntu iso and download and use deep burner to put on disk to do that you select burn iso image and select the file.

Your LCD might have gone bad. A couple things you can try... if you have an external monitor plug it in to the VGA out and see if your system displays on it. If it does you might have accidentally switched your display mode. On toshibas you can cycle through the modes by pressing Fn and one of the F keys. Usually it is F4 or F5 there will be a little picture of a monitor on the F key. Hopefully it is not a bad LCD.
