the thermal switch is located on the back of your dryer. YOu will need to remove it....you will need a 1/4 screw driver...then look towards the boottom of the dryer...the thermal fuse...its a white looking piece with 2 terminals on it...it is really easy to replace it.but you can also check continuity. and if you do not have a tester.
1) unplugg the gas dryer
2) connect the 2 terminal together.
3) DO NOT hold it when you plugg it up..
4) plugg it up and check too see if your igniter comes on...and wait for the flame.
if you follow all these steps and your dryer still does not work. check your igniter.

Series 70 Electric Dyer is not heating up to dry. When I turn it on and look in the dryer while it is on the left hand vent is red. Is the right side supposed to light up? Is this a bad element? If so how do I change it? Randydryer
my kenmore gas dryer's drum will not tumble, the heat works, the fan blows, the timer and even the buzzer works. I just cannot figure out why the drum will not tumble, it make a noise like the motor to make the drum tumble is running, but it is not. I can turn it manually and it does not stick and is not hard to turn at all. Can you help?

my kenmore gas dryer heats and the fan blows, the buzzer and the timer even works. My problem is that the drum does not tumble when you turn the dryer on. Can you help?
My Kenmore 70 series dryer will not heat up. It tumbles well though. I need a step by step solution because I don't know much about dryers and the terms used.
