Hotpoint WD440 Drawer overflowing
I have a Hotpoint WD440 Washer/Dryer and the drawer for the washing powder overflows with water whenever we turn it on.
I've cleaned the drainage filter at the base of the unit (white plastic thing with a ball from a black pipe opened via a clip) as I thought it would be this that was blocked but although I removed lots of rubbish from it it still overflows. The drum itself is not filling up with water.
Has anyone got any advice as to what it might be... Is there another filter where a blockage might have formed or could it be a pump?

- Hi,Thanks for the reply.
I've tried cleaning it out and filling it with tap water and it flows out ok. When I remove the drawer after turning the macinhe on and then off the compartment is full of water and very very very slowly drains out.

- The compartment the drawer fits in is full of water. The actual draw lets water throught fine. The compartment takes a very very long time (if at all) for this water to enter the drum after the machine is turned on (and then very quickly turned off to save my kitchen floor :D).Sorry barkencoa, I should have been more explicit in my first post.

Hi.
I would check the inlet hose from the bottom of the soap dispenser where it goes into the drum for a soap blockage.
undesolved powder can build up here and prevent the water entering the drum
You can access this hose by removing top cover.
the hose is on the left side front.
This should solve your problem.
