Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

1 Answer

Power Trouble So here's the deal... Got my lil sis GHI&II for christmas, she hadn't played her PS2 for about 6 months, but wanted the games. So Christmas morning all excited to play them and start playing when the game just randomly loses power. Now I'm thinking it's her power cord but haven't had any success in making it happen by dicking with the wire and box. And thats just the thing, it's completely random, sometimes you can't get to stay on for 30 seconds, othertimes it'll go for an hour before losing power. But all times in between we've been playing like that for awhile now and infuriating as hell. And for more's the haps...Console shuts off losing all power (red light off) I then have to unplug the power wire going into the back of the machine and plug it back in. Then red light returns. Now when I press the power button to turn it back on it's a crap shoot as to whether it turns on at all (red light turns off again), or we get play for a who knows how long. So....Any ideas before I go buying new stuff I cant afford? Thank You Much

Re: Power Trouble

Pop it open and see if it needs to be cleaned out. Verify when it is powering up the fans are spooling sounds like it is over heating, or there's a problem with the power supply.

I haven't been playing my wii for a few months, but today I wanted to play, so I tried turning it on, and it didn't turn on! It was still all hooked up, but the red light isn't even on. I'm sure it's set...

Just make sure it is plugged in.If it was plugged in the whole time, you may simply need to unplug it for 5 minutes to reset the power transformer. If that doesn't work, you probably need a new power adapter. If you have anything that you do not use for months on end,you should unplug it and if it is battery operated, remove the batteries.Batteries erode very quickly when not used, and could make whatever they are in completely useless trash. Here is a link to Nintendo for further help and possible parts dealers. You can also try their troubleshooting help, but there won't be much difference from what I mentioned.Good luck,Greg

Singstar mics

What was the quality of the mics when you got them?
Are there small children around playing with them, or have they been used frequently and maybe had a bunch of wear and tear? If you have only had it for three months you may want to check and see how long your warranty was for you could be entitled to replacement.

Playstation II plays only playstation I games

ok, i recommend 1st making sure all the PS2 games are clean, and scratch free..then...wait, wat version is the counsel?..V-7(most common large) or a V-10 (slim)...well, in any her up, give it a spray down with a O2 can...then check the lense..."clean if nesisary"...i have also noticed with playstation2 games...that if u leave the disc laying upside down for month...and dust collects on the disc...that dust not coming off...

Having trouble conecting to xbox live xbox 360

Well I've been having problems as well especially with Call Of Duty 4. I'm 14 and I was told its simply the Christmas overload that everyone has gone out and bought the system, games, and xbox live. Give it a month or so and see how it works out. Also, if you have a router, try connected the ethernet cord (if u have one) to the modem may work but dont take my word for it. Also, be sure you have DSL or Comcast. Good Luck.

XBox 360 freezing- Not what you think

Your system is headed for the dreaded red ring w/ three red rings. My system started doing the same thing just before this happend. If you have a service plan with it i would suggest returning it and getting a new one.

I tried all the there little tricks as well deleted everything off my harddrive all that good stuff i think it made mine worse. Cuz after all that i turned it back on and bam three red lights and no picture or sound.
