I am looking for a drive belt for a mastercraft 3x21 beltsander. the belt says 120xL031. cant seem to find one anywhere.

The belt you can replace with a is simply any generic 3x21 belt. You can find them at your local hardware store or order them from a website like Home Depot, etc and have them shipped to your home. Here is a link to take you to Home Depot specifically for an 80 grit, but you can look for other grits as well. 3" is your width and 21" is the diameter of the belt you need.

Repairing black and decker sander

if this is a Black and Decker, I would recommend going to their site at dewaltservicenet.com and downloading a breakdown for this tool and then if you still have a problem, get back to me with specific areas. I would also need the model number so I can give you reference items in the reassembly. Let me know.

I have a Clarke Model 504 floor drum sander. where can i find paper for this?

I would recomment trying a local rental yard. they usually have the paper and machines for rent. If not let me know and I will do some more research with Clarke, give me your general area with zip code and I will try and find a local source.

I have a Porter Cable 503 belt sander that heats up to the point that I can't touch it and have to stop using it to let it cool. I have been using this model for years, have relied on it exclusively, and...

I have a black and decker BR300 that I've had the same problem with.I don't know if yours is caused by the same things but what I found was that the vacumn system on mine was not sealed up good enough and too much dust was getting around motor cooling fins. Unfortunatly on mine by the time I figured this out it had frayed the drive belt which caused some small strands to wrap around drive gears and mostly trashed the motor. Hope this is of some help to you. Thanks

I have and OLD bench 1

The local hardware store has brushes in all different sizes in a box, next to the switches, fuses, plugs, cords, tool type stuff. They are standard sizes, should be able to find them no problem. Hope this helps.

Sandpaper will not stick to rubber bed bosch

This is generaly due to previous adhesive buildup on the backing pad OR, the face of the backing pad is breaking down and cracking. There are two ways to handle this. You can try scrubing the crud off the pad (I wouldn't) or, you can get a new backing pad for your sander. At this point, you might want to go with a velcro type pad or hook and loop as they call it (cleaner and no goop). Check your local home depot for pads. If you cannot find one, I would suggest you call Klingspor abrasives Co. They have area reps all over the United States. I know, as I used to be one of them. They carry,.. and will send you pads via UPS. Just make sure you don't try to put a 6in pad on a 5in sander or vice-versa as the pads are weight-mated to the sanders. If you do, you will burn up the motor in your sander rather quickly.

Electric Sander

Get a good 5" random orbital sander with hook and loop paper. They are easy to handle while on a ladder.

I have a du-8r clarke floor sander, i need a schurter switch, swiss made, a146f160u4-azm11, 120v, 16 amp. do they still make this part.

I can't find anything on Clarke's website for this tool. But if you have the switch out I would take it to a local repair facility or electrical supply house and have them match it up. There is usually nothing that special about the switches. Let me know if you cant and I will try and dig deeper.
