Its dual core, its gonna heat up a lot more than previous single core laptop models. if its still under warranty take the thing back, but i doubt that will help it too much.

only if it is accidental damage, ie you have broken the screen or spilt coffee etc on it

My enter key, backspace and delete keys do not work on my eeepc. this is a brand new, purchased today, computer.

If it is newly bought it will be under warrantly. Take it back to where you purchased it and get another one or your money back.

Computer heats up and shuts down

Hi,
I would suggest you open the notebook by yourself and clean it from dust. I had an Acer notebook that shut down very often because it had so much dust inside that it overheated.

No Boot Up Too

Sorry to hear about your HP problems with your DV2000
If you go to HP.COM and check the recalls and extended warranty.
I some cases HP offers an additional 1 year from date of warranty expiration. or 2 years from date of purchase.
If your unit has lost video, shuts down, won't startup.. Review, these areas under your model...
Note.......
Do not call HP if possible until you have found the needed information on your machine.

1. After you have your information,
(A) copy it, (B) call on it. (C) Register your problem with HP and get a Trouble ticket on file.
If HP is going to warranty to repair, they will issue you a New warrant for the New Repair, from the date of the New repair.
Don’t waist time, one day can make the difference...
Hope this information has been of help to you...
John Ray
P.S. Please check your LapTop battery’s for possible recalls.

Battery not charging!

If the battery is 2 years old, then buy a replacement battery, see if it charges. Portable batteries are good for roughly 300 to 500 recharge/discharge cycles before they begin to fail roughly 18 months. Dell warrants the Battery for 1 year, so there is no warranty on the battery. If a replacement battery doesn't charge, then the motherboard will need to be replaced. If under warranty, Dell will fix it, if not, motherboards are $100-150 on Ebay.

ITS A HP NOTEBOOK

This should be covered under warrant.
For the slow problem, you can either upgrade the memory chips, or download a free program called "glary utilites" which will clean the registry and optimize the computer.

If it has a one year warranty, I would send it back and get something different.

Turning off

Do not walk but run to the phone & call Acer, (See you're manual for phone numbers). Before you're 1 year warranty is up.
After that it will cost you dearly for a repair. All notebooks & most PC's come with a 1 year warranty. Unless you bought a used notebook. They are warranted for about 90 days.

Notebooks turn off for a reason, usually from over heating. Acer is no fun to deal with so be firm!
If I suggest a way to repair you're notbook you might miss the chance to have the Acer Co. fix the notebook.
Please make the call!

Good Luck!
Post back if you get the chance & let me know what Acer has suggested........
