It is a problem with the website server, not your computer.

Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do except wait until the site's owners get it sorted.

Why cant i access some sites? It says gateway timeout.

That means that one server did not receive a timely response from the other server.
If it is happening a lot, check with your ISP and make sure your DNS servers are configured correctly. If this does not help, you may want to change your DNS servers.

Webpages timeout with an extensive display of resources. First, the factors that predict website network displays are structures that computers are built. For example, dial up telephone line internet structures are least multimedia compartible. Once requested media that least displays initiatially timesout as notification of incapability. Second, the timeout conditons occurs with requesting resources from another device that least has the capacity to produce. A computer network provides notification as timeout saving integrity of surfer. Third, timeout is encouted in conditons that network malfunctions were experienced. In such a situation either as the device structures have least compartible conditions or another devices is encountering situations least producing results. Solving website timeout conditions. First, restablish the network also called refreshing either connection or websites or pages. Second, in a situation that an observable malfunction were encounted requires repairs to take effect.

This is a JetDirect error and can be cured by adjusting the IO and Idle timeout values. Set the IO Timeout (or Job Timeout) to 300 seconds ( 5 minutes) and set the Idle Timeout to somewhere between 900 seconds (15 minutes) and 3600 seconds (1 hour). Setting the IO Timeout (or Job Timeout) and Idle Timeout to 0 does not disable them. It causes the printer and/or print server to timeout immediately. The IO Timeout can typically be set through the control panel on the printer, or it can be set using the HP JetAdmin Utility. The Idle Timeout can be set by TELNETing to the TCP/IP address for the printer, or it can be set using the HP JetAdmin Utility. The HP JetAdmin Utility can be downloaded from HP's Web site, www.hp.com.

The print job is defaulting to tray 1 so you will need to change this at the application and printer driver admin and not at the printer itself.

Cisco asa5505 problem

You seem to have the last resort (o.o.o.o) set to VLAN1 which is set as an inside interface.
Is VLAN1 connected to the outside router or internet backbone?
If not, change the last resort to the outside Ethernet port.

Getting my acer on the internet.??

This maybe related to how your router is configured. Please try the following.

Click Start then All Programs then Accessories then Command Prompt. A new window will open. In that window enter the following (contains 1 space before /)--

ipconfig /all

In the response you should see for one adapter possibly of multiple adapters an

IP Address
Subnet Mask
Default Gateway
DNS Address(es) (one or more)

To work the following must be true

If the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 then the first three numbers in the IP address and the Default Gateway should match (possibly 192.168.0 or something close). The last number should be different. There should be one or more non 0.0.0.0 DNS addresses. If this is not true please tell me what is wrong in a comment to this problem, I will respond with a solution. please provide your internet service providers name this may help me find his DNS servers for you.

One problem may be no DNS addresses -- this can either be configured into the router or the computer and should have been assigned by your internet service provider.

Assuming the above appears to be right then enter the following commands into the same window as before.
replace (default gateway) including parens with the address from above
may be like 192.168.0.1 with slightly different numbers

ping (default gateway)

It will either time out 4 times or respond with elapsed times.
If this does not time out you are connected to the other device successfully.

then try this command

ping www.google.com

if this comes back with an error like address not resolved or timeout we have other issues.

If it does not timeout or have an error you should be successfully accessing the internet and there may be a configuration issue with your browser and a proxy entered to work elsewhere.

Please respond to this request with additional information to allow us to find a final solution to your issue.
