Restore erased pictures

If you are using a memory card, take no more pics until you've recovered the photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that are available to help you recover your photos. This blog article reviews and outlines several of the better ones.

Erased pictures, can i get them back

It's no problem at all to get them back. Please see this post for several free software that you can download. You'll need to use a USB card reader with these programs though:

Retreive erased pictures from my camera -

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but once pictures are erased, they're gone for good. The memory is a flash type, and erasing the pictures resets all the information in the camera. Be careful, because some things (as this) are irreversible.

Camera will not work

Using the wrong cable can certainly damage a camera.

You don't say what "inoperable" means. I have sold and serviced many digital camera over the years. Dropping a camera will often result in damage to the lens assembly causing blurry/distorted pictures or the lens will not extend or close.

If the camera is completely dead or fails to boot then you probably used the wrong cable or connected it incorrectly and fried the internal electronics. This particular Gateway/Samsung camera can be fried if you connect or disconnect the USB cable while the camera is power on.

Sounds like you owe your friend a new camera.

My camera erased my pictures

These cameras have an internal store and also can use a card. So, when you add a card, it is writing to that store and only shows you the pictures stored there unless you change the device settings or remove the card.
If so, the images you have on the EasyShare One internal store may be originals
Another possibility is that you did a BragBook synch to EasyShare and you might be able to see these images in your 'Favorites' view. The 'Camera Favorites' or BragBook pictures are a smaller version of original images, to allow you to carry more pictures with you to share, but these pictures may be a lower resolution version of the images you took. They would be sufficient for printing 4x6 pictures, but not enlargements.
Change to Favorites mode to see if they show up that way.
Good luck!

First do not panic! It is possible to recover your pictures if you take care. Take the card from the camera (powered off)and if it has a "write protect" tab then lock it now. Do not try and write anything to the card or you risk causing more problems. If you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a FREE utility that will recover your photos from the following link: If you need something a little more "user friendly" then you will need to buy the software. If you search the web for photo recovery software you will find many. One I have used successfully is RescuePro that used to be bundled with some Sandisk products. Now you can get it from the link below: You can try the demo to see what you can recover before buying. Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to the card until you can recovered your pictures to your PC safely! Please update the question & let us know if the information given was useful to you - Good Luck!
