I have the manual. It's 20 pages. But the connection piece looks like only 2 pages. I know I had trouble and went to Circuit City with the unit. They showed me how to connect it. I could scan the connection pages to you.

why do not you try totalmedia? I have used it for almost 2 years and never had any problem. it plays blu ray on pc smoothly. when i bought it, to my surprise, it can change region code, thus i'm never worried about relaxing myself when on business. It's an easy to use and professional blu ray player software for windows; including Windows 8. of course, it fully integrates with Windows Media Center too. beyond your surprise, it's also a 3d video player.

Toshiba V231 UK VHS manual is lost. Since last week I disconected and then replaced to my Toshiba TV. I can not Autotune it back to play VHS recvordings. I get sound but the tracking just flickers up the...

Hello,

I believe you are using a RF wire Connecting a VHS, then searching TV station is an old way. I would recommend you use a RCA wire. By so doing, you won't need to tune any station on your TV. All you need to is select Source (AV) on the TV and the VHS would automatically display on your TV.

Below is what the RCA cord looks like:

walesarumi_111.jpg

The yellow stands for video (display), while the red and white stands for audio left and right (sound).

Purchase this cord from any electronics part store within your area, it's not expensive at all.

Look at the back of your TV, connect the yellow cord to "Video IN", connect the red and white to "Audio IN". Then connect the other end of the cord to Yellow: "Video OUT", and red or white to "Audio OUT", at the back of the VHS.

After the above connection, turn on the VHS, insert a tape, and press play. While the VHS is play, turn on the TV, select Source (AV) on your TV and your VHS will start displaying and you will hear sound.

I hope the above is clear. If you need further assistance, please let me know.

Regards.

How do you get it to come through the television? Does the television need to be on a certain channle?

If it has a scart lead you can view it via that. Just set the TV to the AV socket it's connected to, if you have a fully wired scart lead it will switch automatically your TV when you press play on the VCR.

I get cable tv and it works fine. How do I hool up a vcr and do i have to put the tv on a certain channell for it to play . Cannot read the manual, the printing is to small.

No, the VCR hooks up Via the, sockets, Yellow, Video, and the White & Red Audio, connections, color to color. Then you select an EXTERNAL input. You do NOT "Tune" a "Channel" for this to work. It gets the signal via the Audio Visual port, usually at the side, front or rear. Also some sets can use SVHS connector. This is a small round multi pinned socket on the set, this too is an External, called composite Video. input.

Can not play video in dvd/vcr player

Well yes whether it be a DVD/VCR it has to be played on the AV-Channel. If you don't have that yet just scan your tv via remote control, but do it manually because automatic skips the av channel. otherwise check that the video itself is not damaged

Recorded a DVD on computer but will not play on DVD player

dvd players play only certain kinds of discs and formats. Older ones played -R's, most newer ones play everything. You have to look in manual, or on box before you buy player. If it won't play -R,+R, -RW,and +RW's I pass it by. Find out if your player is limited to certain discs. Some will play VCD and some will not. Some will play DIVX and some will not etc. Stick to the discs and formats your particular player is compatible with.
