We have a similar situation where we were heating food, there is no power. The model #JVM1090 Serial # 912305S. Is there a fuse or reset button, we do have the owner's manual and would like to make the repair if it is simple.

If you have the kitchen timer set for instance for 10 minutes and it is counting down, and then you want to reheat you coffee for 2 minutes. You would hit either time cook or reheat button and enter 2 minutes ten hit start. The microwave will heat your coffee and show the 2 minute countdown for that. When done it will revert back to what is left on the 10 minute kitchen timer without missing a beat on most microwaves.
Most microwaves run high at default, if roast and reheat are given that is your high setting, take one cup of water and run for 1 minute in each setting, the water that is the hottest is the high setting.
If your microwave runs, but doesn'theat your food, verify that you have selected a cooking setting. You mayaccidentally set the timer. Test the magnetron by placing 1 cup of water in themicrowave and heating the water for three minutes. If the water doesn't heat, your magnetron is dead.
Place a 1/2 litre of water in a plastic microwaveable container. Record its temperature and place it in the microwave. Microwave on full power for 1 minute. Leave for 30 seconds and measure the temperature again. If the temperature rise is at least 10 degrees Centigrade, the magnetron is fine.
1 Use the number buttons to set a cooking time. You can set a time from one second to 99 minutes, 99 seconds. To set a time over one minute, enter the seconds too. I tried all the things on your website. Holding the clear button , unplugging,...
So I went back to the last operation that I was doing when the problem started.
I was using "reheat" so I put a glass of water in the micro turned on reheat 1 serving.
It started and then I hit clear after a few minutes and the problem went away.
