    Almost there. No more lens errors, but when I power off, the lense protrudes farther out. When I power on, the lense appears to TRY to retract.
    I tried recharging the batteries: no luck;
    I tried slight pressure to the lense: got rid of the lens errors.

    Recharged batteries: no luck;
    Held on/off button when powering up & powering off: no luck.

Reset the camera...there should be a little pin hole, stick a paper clip in there, wait 10 seconds, and restart. This should fix the problem

Try first to remove the battery for about 30 minutes then if still have the same problem you may need to dismantle the lens and clean it for some dirt stuck on it that is causing the problem, but if this is still under warranty better take it to servcie center and let them repair it for you for free..

    sir,

    taking out the SD card and turning on the camera without an SD card inserted. try formatting the SD card through the camera's setup menu. Better contact manufacturer for replacement....

Try to push the lens gently inside while you turn camera off.

    The lense error 112 happens when lens gets stuck because of dirt, or because they are damaged after a shock.

    Try helping the lens back, without putting too muck force, if the camera had been exposed to sand or dust, try blowing canned air on the lens.

    If this does not work, the lens assembly must be taken apart completely and re-assembed, and for that you need a camera repair shop.

WHAT SIZE MEMORY CARD

The VPC-S670 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB.

There are nonstandard SD cards up to 8GB in size, which may (or may not) work with the camera. But make sure it's an SD card, not an SDHC card. The camera will not work with SDHC cards.

I lost software to download pictures from camera to pc on my sanyo vpc-s670, dont know what to do now,

You don't need any software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.
