Turn it on and then take out the battery while it's on. I tried this and it worked, so maybe it will help you too.

Update the firmware and start over (warning: it will erase all songs/recordings from the device - so back them up first).

The easiest way is to connect to your computer via a usb cable. Click on the local disc "E: or whatever yours is and do it on line. Remember to use the safe disconnection procedure.

Fm radio and recorder modes

On this model, the Power button and the Menu buton are the same key - press the Menu button to go to the main menu, and it will display FM and Voice options.

Sansa e260 freeze

Try this;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.
