Hi, I had some issues with my laptop and I have no ideas how to solve that. Actually suddenly the pad and the keyboard stopped working so I was wondering what could be the source of those problem. Please can anyone let me know if it is a serious problem or not. Thanks very much.

Well I did that 30 times at least because I was not able to shut my computer down and the problem was still there. So I decided to format my hard drive but I have so many problems to restore my system ... during the Windows set up one step is critical. If I cannot bypass those step the computer stays in that state forever. So I was wnodering if it is a hard drive problem or principal card. I do not know what is going wrong actually. So I do not know what to do for moving forward or diagnose the problem. Please can u let me know if anyone knows ? Many thanks again.

1. if there is hardware stack issue first try to turn off your monitor.

2. remove battery

3. leave it for 5 minutes
after that try to check the issue status.

That happened to my Laptop as well and all I did is reinstalled the audio driver that is included in the package and it actually worked with no problem. If in that case is still happening, try to update the driver after reinstalling it.

The built in mouse has stopped working on the laptop. any ideas for what i can do to fix it myself

Hello,
You could try some of the following things in the order listed that may help you solve the problem you are having with your laptop mouse.
1. Clean the mouse pad extremely well. Sometimes they can get greasy from the oils that occur naturally on our skin and can cause the device not to function properly.
2. Check your BIOS to make sure that no changes have occurred that would prevent the device from working.
3. The device drivers may have become corrupted or outdated. You can check the manufacturer's website for the proper drivers or you can possibly download them from drivers.com, driversguide.com, or mrdriver.com. to name a few.
These suggestions may help solve your problem, but there could be deeper issues that may be causing your mouse to not function properly and may require a technician to repair it.

Good luck and if you would not mind, please rate my help. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You.

Touch pad not working not sure if correct driver is instslled or a mechanical issue.

I'm assuming this is a laptop and not a desktop, since I've never seen a touch pad on a desktop....but unless you've had some work done to it in the past...i.e. new keyboard/hdd/memory where it could have been disconnected from the logic board, your touch pad has gone bad, and will need to be replaced...or you can pick up a much cheaper mouse and use with the unit.

Many touch pad issues can be fixed by installing the generic Synaptic touchpad driver. Since it's not working now anyway, no loss: http://www.synaptics.com/support/drivers
