My Philips GoGear SA6045 displays a distorded main menu
Once I start my Philips GoGear SA6045 it displays the Philips logo and GoGear tag and then does it's quick update of the player and the main menu screen just shows distored blocks of where Philips icons or menus should be. Like it cannot display the animations or something. Just like a bad TV with distorted llines. You can see it animating because the lines are moving. Has anyone had this problem and have you found a download or app that can correct this or replace the main menu. I've done update after update, both firmware and drivers, still nothing. I also did a reset and tried the + and connect function and that did nothing either.

There is a program on the installation CD called the Philips Device Manager - it has a Repair option. If you have lost the CD, you can get the Device Manager from Philips website.
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear: Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off.Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab.Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions. After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again. -Tha Mp3 Doctor xxx

Charge your Philips GoGear ViBE for at least three hours before turning it on.
Insert the small end of your
mini USB cable into your GoGear ViBE. Insert the other end of this cable
into one of your computer's USB ports. Turn your GoGear ViBE on by
pressing and holding the "Power" button for two seconds.
Insert the Philips GoGear ViBE software disc into your computer's CD-ROM drive. Follow the onscreen prompts to install it.
Open "Computer" from the "Start"
menu and locate the GoViBE icon to make sure it has been successfully
connected to your computer.
Navigate to your music files. If
you're unsure about their location, start by looking in the "Music"
folder under the "Start" menu.
Drag and drop your music files from their folder onto the GoViBE icon in your "Computer" window.
Right-click the USB icon with
the green arrow, located in your taskbar, to disconnect your device.
Click "Safely Remove hardware," then wait until your computer confirms
that it's safe to remove the device. Disconnect the USB cable from both
your computer and your GoGear ViBE.
Select the musical note icon
from the main menu of your GoGear ViBE to open your music files.
Navigate to the sub-folders section, and select a song from either the
artist, album, track list or genre. Press the "Play/Pause" button to
begin playing a song
Run a Repair in Philips Device Manager - the program came on the installation CD.
If that fails the first time: Unplug the GoGear from the PC. Uninstall all Philips software in the Add/Remove Programs section of Control Panel. Restart your computer and reinstall the software. Replug the GoGear. Re-run the Repair.

Install your new driver and be SURE windows media player is not running or trying to sync.If it is running in background philips device manager will not work.Once new driver is installed you can pull up the repair panel and do a hard reset thru software on your Sa6045.
