How to reconfigure the H500 headset with a new phone?

My quite new Motorola SLVR died and my provider sent me a replacement phone. But now my headset will not connect to my new phone (because you pair them the first time you use the headset). Is there a way I could reset my headset so that it could pair with my working phone?

Turn off your earpiece. Then turn it back on but hold the button until the blue light comes on and stays on.(that puts it in discovery mode) Now go to bluetooth devices in you r phone and search for the device.

Unable to use new h500 headset

The H500 is a monaural headset, thus good for phone calls only, not for listening to stereo music. You haven't specified which Motorola phone you own. Check in its user guide if it is able to handle stereo bluetooth headsets (i.e. if it bears the A2DP and AVRCP bluetooth profiles), which are suitable for music streams. If your phone is able to handle them, go to the mall (or store, or even online), buy one set which suits you better, pair them with your phone and enjoy!
Just my 2 cents... Carlos

Motorola H500 and a motorola v3x phone searches and finds headset but won't connect

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select H500 once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".

1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".

please give good rating if the solution works.
Thanks for using FixYa.

How do i connect H500 to my phone

Hey guys. found it. Go to
then go to manuals
than click on the H500 Bluetooth.
It will walk you through step by step its pretty easy..

Or, you can do it easier.
- Press and hold the Power/Call buttom for 6-10 seconds, until there is a steady blue light
- when there is a steady blue light, go to your phone's Menu, then click on Bluetooth, than Handsfree, It will then start locating your bluetooth. In about 3-5 seconds it will pop up as H500.
-Connect to H500, or push Yes to Connect. (which ever way your phone tells you)
-It will then ask for a password. ALL PASSWORDS ARE THE SAME;AND CANNOT BE CHANGED.
- YOUR PASSWORD IS 0000. typle that in.

Congratulations! Your Now Connected.!

Good luck guys.

Heaset Ear Hook is broken

You can't buy a replacement ear piece but you can buy a new H500 for $19.99 US. Not including shipping.
I use the H700 and a few others. Seems most die before they break so why pay more for less.

Motorola RAZR V3 problems with a Motorola H350 Bluetooth Headset

I do not provide the user manual, however, function of the H350 is very similar to the H500 and we are providing a link to the H500 user guide. Just copy and paste this link into your browser and Motorola will explain how to connect your Bluetooth Headset.
