Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook

In my laptop is HP PAVILION dv2000 model.

My system audio sound is not comming.i reinstalled for recovery manager also and suppose i enter CAPS LOCK key i get peep sound also.please give solution or give address for srevice (authorised hp service) center at near dwarka area,new delhi.

    I have the same problem in HP PAVILION dv2000 model and i think the reason is upgrading to XP SP3 before installing the sound driver, but i couldn't fix it till now

That 'beeping' is from the processor. The speakers aren't working because there is no sound driver installed.

Reinstalling the OS or initiating a system recovery will delete all the sound drivers (maybe others).

So, download your required drivers from here (search for your particular model in the series).

Stating HP Pavilion dv2000 is just stating the model series.
When installing a Driver, there are TWO main things needed;

1) Operating System (Which version of Windows)
2) Model number
For HP and Compaq computers we will go with the Product Number.

On the Bottom of the laptop is a white Service Tag.
P/N = Product Number

Also go to Device Manager, and look to see what audio device is used.

Start > Right-click on My Computer > left-click on Properties at the bottom of the list.
Left-click on the Hardware tab. Left-click on Device Manager.

Sound, video and game controllers

What does it state?

Win Vista:
Click on the Windows logo button (Start), then right-click on Computer. Follow the above.

Get onlineand got to In the google search box type: "HP Support" (without the quotes). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number (hp pavilion dv2000) and operating system when requested. Download andinstall the drivers.

Hp pavilion dv2000.. mylap top has no sound and volume control. and dvd are not working.

Please visit the main official site of ,there select support and drivers tab ,in that chose drivers option there u enter your laptop name and you will get all drivers and then reinstall the drivers it will solve your problem.

I have HP-Pavilion- DV2000 Laptop I have a sound problem because sound not coming out from built-in speakers, headphones or external USB speakers. Drivers in device manager seems to be OK Sound play cursor...

sounds like it can be the hardware. try to uninstall and reinstall the latest audio driver then configure your speaker settings and volume settings. if this does not work, you may need to get the audio card or motherboard replaced.

try re-installing your system audio driver. can you specify what model your laptop is? I hav e a dv2000 series laptop also, but its model is dv2202ca. the model is located on the bottom of your laptop.

then select the proper model, then choose either xp or vista,then look for "Driver- AUdio" and download them, then run the files to re-install your drivers!

Sound problem i dv2000

try right clicking "my computer" then click on hardware tab. Then, click on device manager, then look under "other devices". are there any exclamation marks beside "Conexant high def. audio"? If there is re-install the driver in the hp support site then go to your laptop model and look for your audio driver.
