Doesn't work My e250 doesn't work now at all. I put it on one morning and found that only the blue wheel light was on. This had happened a few times so I reset it but this time when I reset it only the wheel light came on. I tried charging it but the computer didn't even recognise it. The screen doesn't come on at all. Please help me.

This Should fix it! Thank you for contacting SanDisk Technical Support. We should be able to fix your player. Disconnect the player from the computer if it is connected. Please copy and paste the following link into your web browser address bar, and then click Go or hit your Enter key. When prompted, choose the option to Save the file to your Desktop. http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe Once you have downloaded the file, please follow these instructions. 1) Double click on My Computer so that you can see it on your screen. 2) Turn the player off. 3) On the top of the player is a Hold switch, move it to the right (toward the headphone jack) so you see Orange. 4) On the left hand side of the player is a Record button, press and hold it while connecting the player to the computer. Continue holding the Record button until you see a new icon under My Computer called 16MB FORMAT. Once you see that icon you may release the Record button. 5) Double click the file you downloaded earlier and run it. Follow all of the on-screen instructions, and when you get to the prompt where it asks you whether you would like to Format it, choose Yes. Once it is done, click Finish. 6) Disconnect the player and look at the screen. Several things will be displayed, and when you see Key Lock, System Shutdown, move the Hold switch on the top back to the left. 7) Turn the player on and watch the screen. If you see a Refresh Database Fail error, you will need to follow steps 1-7 again until you do not get the error. If it does not work the first time, it could take up to 3 times for it to work.

Wont start mornings when warm starts good for a few times then wont again an also got i think engine management light come on in the dash when runing it comes on an off about half an hour apart

hi you need to get a reading off a fault code reader to find out what is causing the light to come on the engine manament light works off detecting not an individual fault it has to recieve this fault on 3-4 occassions before the light comes on if it doesn,t recieve a fault reading in a certain period of time it will presume the faults been fixed and the light goes out but 30 min period seems not enough time to for a reset the fault code reader should be able to store the fault code even ifs its not happening at the time but would be better if you can get the reading while the light is on yates210456

  1. Turn the switch on the top of the player to 'Hold'
  2. Press the Record button and Menu buttons at the same time until it the player boots (this took a few seconds)

  3. sansa e200 should tell you to move the switch to unlock,

SanDisk Sansa E250- Only the blue light comes on? HELP????????????

Try this: Switch your Sansa e250 to its Recovery Mode: 1. Make sure the player is powered off 2. Enable the "Hold" switch (located on the top of the player). You would know it's enabled when you see the "orange-colored" surface 3. Press the "Record" button. Make sure you keep it pressed while pressing on the "Menu" button. 4. keep your fingers pressed on these 2 buttons until the e250 LCD screen displays "Welcome to Recovery Mode" (if the LCD remains black, keep pressing long enough -- about 10 seconds -- then proceed to the next step) 5. Connect your e250 to your computer. (Just a reminder: The minimum Operating System requirements for a Sansa E200 player is Windows XP and above) 6. Double-click on "My Computer" and you would see your Sansa e250 appear as a "16 MB" drive. Note: If you do not see that "16 MB" drive/partition, please repeat steps 1-6. Next, Apply the firmware for the e250 (your player should be connected to your PC at this time): Step 1: Use this link to download the firmware for your Sansa e250 (for better results, please save this file on your "Desktop": http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downl... or use this Sansa Firmware Updater link: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376 Step 2: Double left-click on the downloaded file, and follow the on-screen prompts. The file will automatically re-flash your player (or find the most updated firmware) and format it as well, thereby clearing all possible file/system corruptions that may have occurred. Step 3: When the process is complete, unplug your e250 from your computer, and please make sure you disable the "Hold" switch Step 4: Power up your e250 and 90-99% of the time, it would boot up successfully. I hope this helps.

Screen is blank - blue whee in lit

I just encountered the exact same problem with my mp3 player. It is the 2nd time that this has happened to me. I have taken it back to the store both times and they have given me a new one. They keep telling me that illegally downloaded music will cause it to crash but i only had CDs on there. I guess i dont have a real solution other than taking it back and hoping for one that works.
