With replacement Whirlpool part. Kenmore 66516919001 was stuck on 76 minutes and would not continue. The new board doesn't work right either, runs for a few minutes and then drops to 1 minute and drains, then clean light flashes 7 in a row. I tried the reset procedure all lights come on I let it run its cycle, which clears blinking light. Could the new board be installed incorrectly, is there any difference in the part.

Re: Changed Electronic control on Kenmore dishwaser
Sounds like wsh motor is not running. Test cycle by pushing in order: hi temp, air dry, hi-temp, air-dry. All lites come on and unit will run. Should hear motor running when 'washing' light is on. If not then motor is bad or something stuck in impeller area. Please leave feedback.

If your Dishwasher is stuck in a cycle check the following
The float switch may be hung up and this can cause the dishwasher to be stuck in a cycle.
Timer / Control
If your dishwasher gets stuck in a cycle first try shutting off the breaker for at least 5 minutes if this does not correct the problem you will need to replace timer/electronic control board God bless you use the VOM..
Hello. Manufactured by Whirlpool, Kenmore dishwashers have an electronic control panel that must be unlocked in order to set or make changes to your dishwashing cycle. If an error light is blinking on your dishwasher's control panel, the panel must be reset before you can gain access. Blinking lights on your dishwasher control panel may signal a mechanical problem that needs to be repaired. If the lights continue to blink after you've reset the control panel, contact Sears to service your Kenmore dishwasher or consider troubleshooting the appliance yourself. 1Press and hold the "Heated Dry" button on your Kenmore dishwasher for four seconds to unlock the dishwasher control panel. 2 Press the "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" buttons one after the other, in fairly quick succession. 3 Wait for the dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test. 4 Press the "Cancel/Drain" button at the end of the diagnostic test cycle. This should reset the control panel on your Kenmore dishwasher.
HI, this is a control fault and you can confirm failure by shutting off the breaker switch or unplugging for 5 minutes. if the unit continues to malfunction after the 5 minute reset, you will need to replace the electronic control board.
I do nto have a solution- just the exact same problem. My machine gets stuck on 76 when doing a "normal wash" . last night I hit cancel and drain, then went to "time saver" and ran the wash and it seemed to work fine. Funny that both of our amchines stop at 76. Any ideas?
Tim, this blown fuse issue was pretty common on this model. Whirlpool, which made this model came out with a fuse kit that included a terminal and heavier guage wire to eliminate this problem. It just splices right into the control board, easy job. The model number that you posted had some service flashes out on it including a heater and motor rework. If your model number ends in 00 or 01, yours may be included. You may want to check with Whirlpool to get that fuse kit and check on the service flash. The service flash is 22-721. Good luck, Catriver
