In the menu under audio are some selections including speakers ON or OFF---need to use Mitsubishi remote to navigate and adjust.

SOURCE: when tv turned screen is blank and chirping sound comes from back

A chirping sound usually means that one of the secondary supplies has shorted, most likely the horizontal output transistor. The power supply "chirps", which is the sound it makes when it protects itself from drawing too much current. The set should be serviced by someone with experience in Philips projection TV'.

You might have a bad PIP board, When you say NO picture. Is it totally blacked out or blacked out with "blue snow". The PIP has been alot of problems in this chassis and you will experience what your describing. Capacitors are the root of the PIP boards failure. Let me know if I can assist you further.

SOURCE: mitsubishi rear projection tv color problem

I'm going to guess that this unit is a DLP projection set and that the lamp is not new. Try a new lamp. The heat of the lamp will char over time. If not the lamp, some of the internal filters in the light engine might be getting effected by heat and require replacement.

Keep us posted.

No sound coming out of my Mitsubishi Model CS-2013R (older model). Picture is still great. Just no sound all of a sudden. TV nor DVD player (running through it) project sound...

The older TV's have a switch in the back what if bumped will cut the speakers off. It is for internal/external speakers. Check the switch & make sure it is set for internal speakers. If that still does not solve it, go to your Menu screen advanced options and make sure the speakers are turned on. If it is and still not audio, then you may have a problem with the internal amp or the audio switcher. Note you will need the factory remote for the advanced options

Mitsubishi 55" Rear Projection - No sound and volume bar continuosly displayed

First unplug the a/v receiver and then check tv to see if the audio output is on or internal speakers. With the a/v rec. you should have chosen the variable audio and not leave on int speakers. If this does not work unplug set for at least an hour and try again. You can get additional info from www.ctechnicians.com
