Have already tried this and so it would appear there must be a problem with the pump. Do you have any other advice? Thanks for your help.

I have a similar problem with a whirlpool awm 029 and have tried to remove the plastic trim to get at the filter but without success. I turn what appears to be the relaease mechanism two clicks anti-clockwise and the plastic comes off in my hand with no discernible access to the filter. Water still drains out.

How do I get into the filter to check it?

Hi.
I assume you have checked to see if the pump is working,
Select drain and spin, if water does not go away, then you have a pump problem, which will stop the programme completing.
Please leave feedback.
Thanks

    Have you checked the filter?

usually located at the bottom front, there may be a plastic trim you need to remove at the bottom of the washer.

If filter clean you should be able to hear the pump going.

You could also try blowing down the drain hose (clean the end first), and see if that is clear.

If all else fails then I suggest a new pump

    Good luck.

Whirlpool AWM 312 front loading washing machine motor does not spin.

Hi Sachinl, Before you check out the link below read how To perform the Master Reset, carefully unplug the washing machine from the power outlet and leave it unplugged for one minute. After one minute is up, plug the washer cord back into the wall. Next, open and close the door of the washing machine 6 times within 12 seconds to send a "reset" signal to all the components.(This is a common fix that many appliance repair mechanics use - it works on about 50% of all washing machines.) Once the reset has been completed set the washer to do a small load with no clothes in the washer. See if the washer goes through with the cycle as normal. If the washer performs correctly, then it has been reset and is fixed. If not refer to more troubleshooting techniques and causes of problems below.
If that did not solve the problem then it may be the "Lid Switch". Top loading washing machines that have a faulty lid switch will not turn the agitator and the spin cycle will not start. However on some washing machine models it will still agitate but not spin. To properly check this you must remove the lid switch.

Producing debris when in spin cycle

2.13.1 Scrud
If fabric softener is used regularly it will eventually cause a build up within the outer bowl. This can
result in black flakes present in the wash load that can stain garments. To remove scrud follow the
procedure below.
Step1: Add a full cup of a good quality dishwashing powder such as Active or a similar product
into the machine.
Step 2: Set the machine to a Heavy Duty cycle, select a Hot Wash temperature, High Water level
and allow the machine to agitate for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Leaving the lid closed, turn the machine off and allow to soak overnight.
Step 4: The following day, turn the machine on and advance to the spin cycle to drain the water
from the machine. After the water has drained, turn the machine off then back on again, and select
a Heavy Duty cycle, Hot wash, High Water level, and allow the machine to complete a full cycle to
ensure that all of the loose scrud and residual detergent has been flushed away.
Note: If there is an extremely heavy build up the bowl will have to be removed for pressure washing

Front loader whirlpool washing machine won't go thru cycles.

"o" is an unsual code. usually it will have an "f" then a number. it may be that you are having a draining issue. is the unit full or have some water left in it? if so take off the front panel and see if you can remove the sump cover. be ready for water to come out, then remove whatever is blocking the pump and sump area. it most liekly has lint or items in there causing no drain.
