Re: my m:robe wont work at all!

If the screen doesnt even light up then you pretty much stuffed.

If battery isnt charging then the battery's life is gone. you cant really get another battery all you can do is remove it to prevent damage and use it plugged in.

Open the case by unscrewing the four screws (2on bottom and 2 on side)

move the HDD (hard disk) and take out battery and unplug

replace HDD and lid.

My ipod wont turn on i tried messing wit the buttons and all that junk it just wont turn on i need help i tried holding the top button for five seconds and then both of em together for ten 1 time i held em...

You're supposed to flick the hold button on and off a couple of times before holding the menu and center button...if even after trying this a couple of times the apple logo doesnt come your player mey not be recoverable.

Zen is dead

Sounds like a battery problem - either the battery is totally dead or just needs recharging - note that when the battery totally loses its charge, I believe it is sometimes not possible to recharge it using the usb port and software method (NOTE you MUST have the software installed and running for it to charge this way).. you may have to charge it using the connector to the power adapter.

before i had the same problem, when i thought my k5 runs out of battery i plug it in to charge, but it said charge complete and when i unplug it, it still wont turn on. but then i tried switching to a different usb plug on my computer and it worked. so i guess the problem is that some of your usb slot on your computer isnt working properly, try using a different slot.

Wont turn on

do you have the remote and if so have you tried to do a reset? Most likely your battery is dead. As in cannot be charged anymore. The good news is that the battery is replaceable. You can sometimes find them on E-Bay for around $20 and they are fairly simple to replace.

This is a photo of the inside of the M-robe. I tried the suggestions you gave with no improvement. I did notice that the other end of the hdd lead where it connects to the mother board was not straight in the board socket

When you remove this lead from the motherboard, make sure you don’t bend it or stress it out of shape. before you attempt to put this lead back in, make sure the small plastic lock strip is lifted out of the way. Then press the lead firmly back onto the receptacle. Then lightly press the plastic lock strip back over where the connector is on the board here. If you have completed this connection correctly and no other damage has been done, your M-Robe should start up. Good luck

Doesnt work... at all

The battery on these units dies after so many recharges. You most likely need to replace the battery. It's not difficult and you can usually find replacement batteries on E-Bay for around $20.
