Question about AEG Lavamat 16810 Front Load Washer/Dryer
Power supply is fine and drier was working OK earlier in day. The appliance is in a outside barn and currently it is v cold and now it wont work ( I was trying to use it late in evening and outside temp was close to freezing). I note from user guide that ambient operating temp is +5 to +35 c. Is it concievable that the low ambient temp is preventing the drier from working. This has happened once before when the drier was in a garage, can't remember what the weather was like but when used next day it was fine.
Any help/suggestions gratefully recieved.

It seems that your problem is with the lid switch and it should be replaced. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. You have to raise the top of the washer to get to the switch. Good luck!

A valid point but unfortunately your machine is programmed to take both and will register this as a fault.
This is probably not what you wanted to hear but please dont shoot the messenger.

This dryer needs to be taken apart to lubricate any and all moving parts. Idler pulley and rollers, if they are worn out in any way, replace them.
Also, consider a new belt.
