camera will not turn on without memory card
Problem for Fuji FinePix S3000 Digital Camera
The camera will not come on, lense stays in etc.
I can look at past pictures on the LCD screen but the camera won't come on to take pictures....I have replaced the batteries and nothing happens....I can work the menu button also....It is just not coming on when I put it on other than to view previous pictures.....Prior to that problem I noticed that the camera was not always focusing right....not the lense doen't come out at all when turned on...

- I have a similar problem I used the camera last month and downloaded the pictures I took with no problems. I went to use it again last night and the lens will not retract. I can view the pictures I have already taken but when I try to take another picture it comes up with an error message "front cover open".I have already had to return the camera to fuji to have the lcd replaced and the picture imaging device which were replaced free of charge May last year as this was a common problem with this camera- tjruk04
