My keyboard is not working well

My laptop keyboard is not working fine if i should press letter (A) letter AZ will apear if i press letter (M) JM will apears I got same problem in my laptop... This is the starting stage guys... later on you cant use those keys with shift but the small letters will work fine and the shift keys will work fine with other characters...

Its definitely not a hardware issue... I had the same problem earlier, I reinstalled the OS... The problem got fixed... Now, again facing the same issue... I dont want to reinstall the OS and very curious to find out the cause...

May be we should find out whether we are using same kind of software or codecs... I doubt the Codec packs... It might have some bug...

How about you guys

My desktop keyboard will not type letters. It will only type numbers. I pushed fn & Num Lock that did not work. What can I do?

Press the Start key + R.

type osk in that box and hit enter

On this keyboard, try toggling numlock scrolllock and capslock a few times.

Also, try this too: Fn+Numlk or depending of the model, press the button or Fn + Shift +Numlk

hope this helps

Ctrl Didnt work, all the letters works after Fn pressure

Go to advance diagnostics
by pressing Fn key + power key
or by pressing F12 while startup select diagnostics
it will perform a diagnostic testa dn then will give u an option for advance diagnostics select keyboard and then follow the steps.
It may be that particular key not working but to fix it u may have to replace the keyboard, because there is no way by just single key caN be replaced.

Keyboard failure

Boot up the computer while pressing F8. A page with different menus appear. Select safe mode. Computer may respond slowly but have patience. When the names Administrator, Guest and usernames appears select administrator. For password press enter key. Once the window screen appears in safe mode go to --Start---Programmes--accessories--system tools----system restore.

Here u may be able to restore to a date where computer was working fine.

Hi milovacka here

Could be. I would refer to qualified service personnel. Is there an icon on the laptop keyboard to change between the internal and external monitor? it would look like th outline of a computer screen.

Laptop keyboard on lifebook c, replace or fix

It looks like you answered your own question - you really can't fix a laptop keyboard, but you can replace them. (or you can use an external keyboard)

Now is your problem:?
Letters qwert, asdfg, zxcvbn work OK but uiop displays as 456/ jkl displays as 123 and m displays as 0. Other keys also do not display correctly. Or holding the function key down at the same time as the problem keys ?

Then the solution is:
The problem was caused by accidentally pressing the num lock key. Once pressed, it remains locked even after a reboot. Pressing again returns the keyboard to normal.
