For playing games online and in real time you need a good internet connection with good download and upload speeds..a speed of 1MBPS should be quite good..do find out from Orange what speed they are giving..or check the speed in http://speedtest.net/..also if other applications are connected to the internet can affect speed and quality..like other network computers, downloads etc..if the speed is less you can always change the internet plan..some ISP are quite game friendly eg for Xbox live..hope it helps!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

My son reset the router to the factory settings via the button at the rear of the router now I cannot access the internet any ideas how i fix this ?

No problem! What you need to do is phone your Internet Service Provider (your DSL service provider) help line and ask them to provide you the router internet protocol (IP) settings.
In no time you will be surfing the internet again.

On-line Gaming problem

To be honest if it only llags when you are using the headset then it is probably the headset the there is nothing you can really do but the gaming routers that can be bought from most good game shops can boost the signal to give you less lag, but over all you would probably be better with and xbox 360 for online gameplay

it seems like a hardware problem try to upgrade your ps3 firmware if that does not work its probably your internet provider, just upgrade to a faster speed.

I have the same problem. The Sync DSL light keeps on flashing. According to the 3Com and Singtel, they both blame one another. From my understanding, the modem is not receiving and internet signal at all....

Yes, when the sync light flashes it meand there is no sync to the DSLAM located at the exchange. This is usually down to either bad wiring (too much line noise) or the provider not having set the line up.

Have you tried connecting the router to the master socket in the house with no other equipment connected - phones faxes modems etc? they can cause problems sometimes.

GoToMeeeting.com creashes frequently on me.

Sounds like too many people are connecting to the server at one time. You will have to find another service that can handle the amount of people connecting at once.

Keyboard doesn't work properly

Turn on your computer, go to the control panel, if you are using Windows XP, click on switch to classic control panel" and then go to Accessibility Options. There is a keyboard tab that the settings can be changed to help people with disabilities operate their keyboards better but if you hold down certian keys for more than a few seconds, Windows XP will activate these settings. Sounds like your son accidently turned on "FilterKeys" There is a check box on the Keyboard tab of Accessibility Options that turns off FilterKeys. If "Use FilterKeys" is checked, uncheck that box and then click "OK" and see if that helps.

Good Luck!

XBox 360 - freezing

i suggest unplugging the cat5 cable(the one that provides internet access) or remove the wifi adaptor and test if it runs good. if that doesn't work, then your problem lies with the actual xbox hardware. if it works, you have a very unstable internet connection.
