My camera has worked great for the 5 years I have owned it. Yesterday, we went to a parade and when I went to take pictures all I got was an overexposed white screen. It will not take pics outside at all.. When I am inside it does take pictures. How do I get rid of the white screen??

Sounds like one of two problems: the lcd could be bad, or the circuit that processes the pictures could be faulty. There are some ribbon cables inside the camera that can also get "knocked" out of their settings with the camera being dropped, etc. Service will be required to fix it, but you might just opt for getting a newer camera on sale, since the price of repair is often more than the old camera's worth. I've seen 10.2 mp name brand cameras on sale for $69...probably half the cost of repair. Sorry, wish I had better news.

I've got the same problem as misred. Is there anybody who knows how to solve this problem? Is it the CCD?

Have you tried reformatting it? That's fixed some problems with mine, you could try that and see if it works

hi
the Exposure button will generally be disabled in auto mode
try changing it to 'P' (Program) mode and then change the exposure by pressing the +/- button and then you would generally see a scale on the LCD now press the left button to decrease the exposure
better more is to reset the camera to the default settings this would set the aperture, shutter, Exposure, LCD brightness and otehr settings to defaults and this would save from any unwanted changes than required
cheers
pls rate if it was any help

Check to see if your ISO is set to a high number like 800 or 1600. If so, set it lower or on auto ISO. Your white balance should probably be on auto white balance. Go into the setup menu and see if your camera has a setting for "reset". This could take your camera back to factory defaults.
