eric and xavier were always right , make absolutely sure there are no remnants of the old drivers left by deleting from the registry or using **** cleaner . once all leftover driver bits are cleared the soft ware coming with the hardware installs quite easily . the trick is have the cable at the printer /scanner disconnected until prompted by the program to connect . so easy , when you know how , so impossible if you leave one step out . try , it works .
Re rob_a.sys and rob_v.sys - they were for your Pinnacle PCTV Pro TV capture card. There are updated versions that works with XP and if I remember right, you I suggested for you to search where you can find the updated versions, download and try it they will likewise work with Vista.
Re Canon PIXMA MP810 All-in-One - try deleting it in your Printers and Faxes. Thereafter pls try the "New/Add Hardware" in your Control Panel rather than the "Add a Printer".
