Double check that the adapter you bought is designed for stereo. The easiest way to check this is count the number of metal bands you can see on the adapter, stereo headphones will have 3 metal bands separated by 2 plastic bands, whereas mono will have 2 metal bands separated by a plastic band.
If you accidentally bought a mono adapter, this will cause sound to only play in one ear.
This is called and Echo, if you can get Realtek drivers or if already installed you will need to configure them not to produce this echo or at least minimize it. Click on the Speaker icon on the lower right hand of your monitor this will allow you to configure your Realtek HD Audio software. Click on sound manager ......on the Menu's click on the Microphone and select Noise Suppression this will do the magic.
Make sure all wire are tight and that you have power to the speakers.
Turn the sound all the way up and put the speakers up to your ear, if you hear a buzzing that means your speakers are okay and you need to configure your computer.
If you have to configure them with your computer plug them into your comp and go Start>Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Sound then select your speakers as default device and you should be good to go, if you have any further questions just comment back and i would be happy to further assist you,
Hope this helps
The SB card has several settings. Do you have powered speakers? You will need powered speakers and also the correct settings. You do not say how old your laptop is - some will not use high end cards as their age will not allow for it. Is the card meant for your pc?
Try these two things and send pictures of ur set up to email@example.com
Hi I'm mhel, try to re install your audio driver and if this not work you can try to replace your head phones with a new one thats maybe the cause, but if this doesn't did the job you might have a faulty headphone jack. Consider a hardware repair. good luck
First Check your Speakers are on then Check that your sound is not set on mute mode if you not satisfied then check you sound lead is connected properly to your CPU if its not solved then unistall the sound driver from control panel from add or remove programs and then reinstall the audio driver again. And now you not heard sound pick up your CPU and Speaker and throw it on the grabage.
First check it is all plugged in correctly. Also open the back of your pc and check the sound card is plugged in right.
Next go to device manager My computer - Properties - HArdware - Device manager And check the sound drivers are installed. If they are: go to control panel and check yuour volume is sorted and not on mute
