This can happen due to multiple reasons: check the following: Check If
Heater circuit problem:
♦ Open heater.
♦ Wire disconnected, open connection or component in heater circuit.
♦ Faulty heater drive circuit on control

then to solve :Then
1. Check operation of heater in Diagnostics cycle.
2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
3. Check resistance of heater and all components and connections in the water heating circuit or heat dry circuit.

or

Door switch not making contact consistently:
♦ Misaligned door latch assembly (which can be aggravated by high door closure force keeping strike plate from fully seating).
♦ Faulty door switch (high resistance).
♦ Loose or missing installation anchor screws, causing tank to shift in cut-out.

then try this:
Measure resistance of door switch contacts while checking mechanical operation of latch assembly. Confirm switches not loose from assembly. Check strike plate and door closure.

Hi there,

I have tried to research your dishwasher to see if I couldn't find a wiring schematic, but I haven't had any luck. I was able to obtain a number for Electrolux's customer service dept. that you can call to find a service center in your area, or possibly to even see if they would supply you with the wiring diagram that you need. However, while researching your dishwasher, I stumbled across an article that some might find a bit disturbing if they own one of these dishwasher's. I have included the actual article below. I hope that I've been able to point you in the right direction and that this info proves to be useful. Have a great evening!

Sale of fire-risk dishwashers banned5:00AM Thursday July 24, 2008
New South Wales last nightbanned the sale of dishwasher brands fromAustralia's largest whitegoodssupplier after the faulty machines werelinked to a string of home fires.
Morethan 26,000 Electrolux,Electrolux Dishlex and Westinghouse dishwasherssold in Australia andNew Zealand since April last year have a potentialwiring fault.
TheNSW Fair Trading Minister, Linda Burney, said herdepartment had beenalerted to 73 incidents involving the appliances, resulting inexcessive heat and kitchen fires.
Electrolux identified a fault with the dishwashers last year and has issued three appeals to consumers.
"Despitethis,Fair Trading has received reports that fires or incidentscontinue tooccur," Ms Burney said. Up to 5000 of the dishwashersremain inhouseholds unchecked.
The minister said a wire connector within the appliances could cause plastic components to melt in the control panel.
The largest number of faulty washers are in NSW.
The state Commissioner of Fair Trading has moved to ban NSW retailers from selling their remaining stock of the appliances.
"The prohibition will ensure that any dishwashers not alreadyquarantined by Electrolux, which may be in retail outlets and not inthe possession of Electrolux, are not sold," Ms Burney said.
Thebanand the recalls cover Electrolux, Electrolux Dishlex andWestinghousewashers with serial numbers ranging from 70700000 to72400000.
TheNSW Government said consumers with one of thesemodels should stop usingthe machines immediately and contactElectrolux to arrange for atechnician to fix the problem.

Hi

It doesn't work at allIf your washer doesn't seem to work at all, check these:

No power Check to see whether power is getting to the washing machine. Is it plugged in? Has a fuse blown or is a circuit breaker tripped?

Lid switch If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

Or else

If your washer won't spin, check these:

It doesn't pump or spin If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:

  • If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.

  • If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

It pumps, but doesn't spin If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:

  • The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

  • The motor coupler may be broken. Many Whirlpool®-manufactured washers use a small, relatively inexpensive motor coupling. It's plastic and rubber and is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. You may need to replace it.

  • A belt may be broken. Many washing machines have one or two belts. If a belt is broken or badly worn, you need to replace it with a genuine belt from the manufacturer. (Some washing machine belts are designed with special characteristics not found in automotive belts.)

  • The clutch may be worn. If your washer is a GE, it may use a clutch to come up to the proper spin speed. As the clutch wears out, it may prevent the unit from spinning well or at all. If the clutch is worn, you need to replace it. For this job, you probably want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician.

  • The drive motor may be defective. Many washer brands use a reversing motor. For agitation the motor runs in one direction, for spinning and draining, the other. It's possible for a motor to burn out in one direction and continue to operate in the other. If this happens, you need to replace the entire motor.

  • The transmission may not be shifting properly. Older washers produced by Whirlpool® have a transmission with an electro-mechanical shifter. If the shifter becomes even partially defective, the unit may drain the water but not spin. This is a complex system, if your washer has a shifter problem, you may want to hire a qualified appliance repair technician to repair it.

  • The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. Call a qualified appliance repair technician.

It spins only with the lid closed For safety, washing machines are made so that they spin only with the lid closed. The lid switch prevents the spinning action when the lid is up.

Thank you

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, could you please postback the exact model number. Most Electrolux Dishlex Global 300 series would have something like DX300FBK or DX300KA*03 as the model number.

Additionally, could you please confirm the wire designation r8 and not B8?

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again,

Appreciate the quick postback. It may take a bit of time on the RB wire especially if your unit is an Australian version.

In the mean time, you may want to check the drainage system. A common issue with them are their overflow basin and float sensor. Though a bit messy, perhaps you could also check for clog, blockage, debris in the drainage system including the filer as well as kinks or other problems with the drain hose. Of course the unit has to be unplugged as again, there would be wiring in the bottom area. To gain access to the drainage, remove the kick panel.

Dishlex global 300 : dishwasher dispenser won't

Hi just read your posting. The problem could be a faulty dispenser coil ,or the wires to it are faulty or the computer is faulty.Try selecting a normal eco wash and when you push the start button to start the machine hold the button in until the pre wash light turns off. This should make the dispenser activate straight after it fills. The only way to test which part is faulty is with an electrical meter.Have you or can you borrow one.If so then I can guide you step by step in finding the fault.please reply with additional information and I am sure I can help you further.Looking forward to your reply.

Dishlex Global Unable to remove heater element retaining screw

I have a simialar problem with the Dishlex 450 Global model, after searching for the heating element on line, I found a picture of the element (450 model), showing that the Stainless Steel screw is actually spot welded to the element bracket, hence you should be able to remove it by accessing a retaining nut from underneath the dishwasher....(turn power off first!)..

Dishlex Global 300 Dishwasher

Thomo, make sure the sprayer holes in the spray arms are clean. Grains of rice seem to be a dishwashers biggest enemy as they don't desolve and eventually end up lodged in the spray holes. The holes at the end of the spray arms are the ones responsible for the washing out of the soap powder from the dispenser, if they are blocked this does not happen.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Is it the tank or just the door seals? Ours was leaking recently, there was an obvious tear in the door seal. Once fixed no probs.
